Title: Custom Music on Smashville Freezes Game Post by: Tyeforce on August 12, 2009, 12:51:25 PM I've had this problem for weeks now, but I've been too lazy to make a help topic about it. Anyway, as the title says, whenever I put custom music on Smashville, the game freezes whenever it tries to play it (upon selecting the stage or in My Music/Sound Test). The same music works on other stages, so the problem isn't with the music. What's strange is that I got it to work before, but now NO music works on it at all. How can I fix this?

It's not the music, because the same music works fine on any other stage. =/

You do know you were too apply that code on by itself, and then play one Brawl match so it autosaves, right?Title: Re: Custom Music on Smashville Freezes Game Post by: Tyeforce on August 13, 2009, 08:05:52 PM It didn't work... As in, have you tried replacing different songs from Smashville with different Brstms? Also, does Smashville have a custom texture? Sorry for all these questions. I just want to get to the bottom of this. I've never seen this happen, so I really want to know whats up.
It didn't work... The code worked, but it didn't fix the problem... I don't understand the part where you said the code worked, but it didn't solve the problem. What part of the code actually worked? Title: Re: Custom Music on Smashville Freezes Game Post by: Tyeforce on August 15, 2009, 08:56:09 AM Yes, any music. And no, it doesn't have a texture. (There are no good textures for Smashville, anyway.) And what I meant was the code DID reset Smashville in My Music (the meter for all of the songs was set to the middle), but it didn't fix the problem. And don't worry about too many questions, lol. Thanks for trying to help. =)

When you used the Music Reset code, you had the File Patcher OFF, right? Title: Re: Custom Music on Smashville Freezes Game Post by: Tyeforce on August 15, 2009, 09:09:16 AM The Music Reset should have fixed the error... Yes. I tried it with it on, and then off, and then off again. I even went to a friend's house and installed homebrew on his Wii to test it. It STILL didn't work. When you used the Music Reset code, you had the File Patcher OFF, right? Title: Re: Custom Music on Smashville Freezes Game Post by: Jose Gallardo on August 15, 2009, 10:35:47 AM My last guess would be the SD card got corrupted somehow, although I wonder how it affects only that specific stage...
Sorry I wasn't able to come to a conclusion. Have never seen this happen before, and it still sounds very strange. It's not the SD card, I tried another one... Ugh, stuff like this always happens to me. It seems technology just hates me. ASH doesn't work right for me, neither do indexed textures... And half of my custom music goes all glitchy halfway through the song. >_>Sorry I wasn't able to come to a conclusion. Have never seen this happen before, and it still sounds very strange. Title: Re: Custom Music on Smashville Freezes Game Post by: VILE on September 17, 2009, 08:20:50 PM OK if these dont work, nothing will.
Re format your SD card (i cant remember which one, but you have to format it to a certain type, IIRC it was FAT?) and make the nesecary folders for the gct file and gecko OS. With those being the only things on your SD card, now load your brawl and play a match. After it is over, try some custom music. If that doesnt work, try deleting your save file (back it up), and trying custom music on a fresh save file (make sure you do the first method first though). I'll try the first thing, but I can't back up my save file because I'm on Wii Menu 4.1, which block the unlock copy-protected save files exploit. =/ Title: Re: Custom Music on Smashville Freezes Game Post by: nuclear432 on December 15, 2009, 06:46:05 PM How did you make the brstm?Tell me all the steps. The way i make brstm's are i just use datarions gui.Plus custom music works perfectly on mah wii.Might be(99.999999999 chance not)be cus of your system menu. There are rumors of brawl hacking isn't the best on menus over 4.0.I'm personally WAS on 4.0 so i couldn't mod the wii until bannerbomb came out and i downgraded back to 3.2.
