Riivolution doesn't work on 4.3 anymore. Gecko is unaffected by 4.3 though.

Yes, but on September 8th they(Nintendo) updated 4.3. RVlution team are going to come out with a 1.031 that'll be compatible with 4.3(updated). Although, Gecko OS still works fine.
Did you make sure that you placed your codes in the right folder? If not, the GCT file must be placed in...
[SD drive]\codes\RSBE01.gct
Also, check your settings for Gecko OS, as that plays a role in getting the codes to work too.
the only things i even have in the sd card is
apps>gecko1931> boot.elf + meta + icon
codes>RSBE01.gtc
Well, when you load Gecko OS, there should be an option which enables you to adjust various settings for it. One of those settings include the usage of codes, along with regional options.
what should my folder look like and where does file patch go
btw sorry if im annoying you and thanks for all your help

File Patch Code goes in your RBSE01.gct, so add it there.
@msng- Yeah, and there's an option that says: "Load SD Codes" Make it "Yes".
RSBE01 isnt a file...so how do i put it in it
and do i only need codes and apps in the root
RBSE01.gct is a file, and you'll need a GCT Editor(google it), to add codes to the RSBE01.gct. Riivolution comes with File Patch Code.
soo where should i upload the RSBE01 file from and i think i want to use gecko ...btw check this topic alot since i am a noob who will ask alot of questions, AND are APPS AND CODES THE ONLY THINGS I NEED IN THE ROOT
oh, my RSBE01 is a GCT file but do i use the GCT editor to my file patch code in it
Ok, if you want textures for characters follow this directory:
[SD Card]>private>wii>app>RBSE>pf>fighter>[fighter character you want to put a texture in its folder]
for stage textures: [SD Card]>private>wii>app>RSBE>pf>stage>melee>[here]
*Gecko OS is for SD Cards with 2GB or less.
RSBE01.gct goes in the "codes" folder.
Make these folders in your SD Card.
Note: ">" means go into tgat folder.
Note(2): Names in the quotation marks are the names of the folder.
"apps"
"codes"
"private">"wii">"app">"RSBE">"pf">
***In the "pf" folder make a folder named "fighter", a folder in "pf" named "stage">"melee", a folder in "pf" named "menu2", a folder in "pf" named "module"
there's one more important one for common(#).pac, but I kinda forgot what the folder is named(probably "common"), since I haven't been on a computer in my house for this stuff in a few months, and won't get a computer til Christmas. But I'll help as much as I can, I guess. ;D
Quote from: Yourface191 on September 11, 2010, 05:05:59 PM

Yeah, just open your RSBE01.gct with your GCT Editor, then add file patch code to it, and save.
Remember to take out all spaces of the code(of any code) when you copy then paste the code into the text area.
so i dont need a folder called "st" in the end of the private folder, insted just pf and all its contents, and im still confused how i put the file patch code in another file, and i cant find the GCT editor
so on the file patch code its in this format
XXXXXXXX XXXXXXXX
XXXXXXXX XXXXXXXX
ect
i should make it
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
and will the code managert automatically put stuff in the correct PF folder or do i have to manualy do it

No, there's still spaces in there it should be like this: ^I edited that quote. WackaAlpaca has a tutorial about GCT Editor on youtube.
2. You may include the "st" folder as well.
3. You may have to do it manually just add the codes into RSBE01.gct, into "codes" folder and you got the codes.
soo the code manager serves no purpose

I didn't use it much after I got the GCT Editor. But I still had it to keep track of what I had. but you can make a .txt file of all your codes on Notepad.
Open Notepad(by going to "Start(Bottom left hand corner of your screen)">"Accessories">"Notepad", then paste all your codes to keep travk of what you have into it and name it "codes.txt".
soo the file patch code belongs in the RSBE01 folder like all the other codes

Yes, it does. :)

Np, and to send it to your desktop drag it to desktop or right click on the file and click Send To>Desktop, if either of those work. Also, yes you are correct.
when i dowloaded it it went straight to the actual page, and gave me now folder for it
and how do i paste a code into it, when i right ckick on the code box nothing comes up

In the upper left and corner of the program, click "Open", go to your "codes" folder open up RSBE01.gct and in the text box on the right of the program, paste the code take out all the spaces and click "Add" or something, then save it.
Once crazy is I can't believe I remembered the small/specific/detailed part after 3 months. O.o
nope, that just pastes it on the left side, and i realy want put it on my desktop but i cant

Do you think you can take pictures of what mean cuz it's kinda difficult to this by memory.
i figured out how to copy now just to create a desktop shortcut
Quote from: Yourface191 on September 11, 2010, 06:02:28 PM

Yeah, to highlight the code, right click>copy.
Or to copy highlight and click Ctrl+C. To paste: highlight Ctrl+V
ok so how to i put the file patch code into the RSBE01.
Follow my last post on pg. 2
how on earth do i make the file patch into 1 line
You don't make it one line just take out every single space/enter in the code.
holly crap that code is like 200 lines
You have to get use to pressing "↑" and "Backspace" fast w/o accidently deleting some Numbers/Letters watch WackaAlpaca's GCT Editor video he shows how to do it.
so i press the arrow keys realy fast
That's only if you want to get done quickly.
o god, it will take a while... and what is brawl +
and does EVERY code go into the code folder, or do some go into the PF folders you told me to set up

Brawl+ is a different kind of things added and or taken from the game. Google it for info.
Yes, all codes go into "codes" folder into RSBE01.gct textures, vertexes, PSA for characters, stages, items, and Miscellaneous(Misc.) would be in "pf" folders.
let me give u a full layout of my SD
"stage">"melee">( nothing atm)
"private">"wii">"app">"rsbe">"pf">"fighter">( nothing yet)
"st">st_080805_0993
>boot.elf
"apps">"Gecko1931">meta
>icon
"codes">RSBE01( im putting the file patch in this atm)
does this look good
and is brawl+ needed for these codes
Yes, good job.
2. @Brawl+ post- Nope.
how much left do i need to do before i can upload a code
You're good once the file patch code is in.
ok, here is the first code i want after i upload file patch http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UYm8LM59x_o
That's not a code that's a texture/PSA.
Make a folder in "fighter" name "link" for this texture/PSA. Put the download: Dark Link in the "link" folder. If you want it to be on a specific color of links; such as FitLink0(#).pac
(#) is the color you want to overwrite with Dark Link's. To find all character folders, files, and color numbers go to the thread The Complete N00B Guide to Brawl Hacking since I can't copy and paste on my Wii Internet.
i will need your help with that in a few minuits but do you think that would be hard to upload after i get the file patch code
Not really.
i have the file patch with no spaces what now

Here: copy and paste the code on this post and I'll remove all spaces. Then you copy & paste and add it. No, that's like the biggest code. Most codes are only few to not much lines.
w8, i clicked add code and it just disappeared

Like? Anyway, just put it in the "link" folder. Then go in-game to see if it works.
i got like 15 different files on the download... some end in .pac and some end in .pcs, and 1 ends in .brstm

K, .pac/.pcs stay in the "link" folder. Also, you delete .brstm cuz only Riivolution allows sound effects/songs.
so i just put all of them in the link folder under fighter?
and will i still be able to use normal link
o n the gecko options do i put the sd cheats and the file patcher on
