Title: .pacs Post by: GabbaGhoul on September 22, 2010, 09:39:02 PM ok so im starting tu get back to these hacks
and i cant find all the pac files :notimp: Thats really my only problem at the moment I cant find a working download with all .pac's or for that matter .pcs, think i need them to edit textures. SO.... anyone got some links... b/c that would be great Title: Re: .pacs Post by: Legendary Super Mario on September 22, 2010, 09:59:05 PM Brawlbox is your best friend for such a thing...
Download (http://www.mediafire.com/?tzlzyyn0a3k) and if you don't have it already, you'll also need Microsoft .Net Framework v3.5 SP1: Download (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=D0E5DEA7-AC26-4AD7-B68C-FE5076BBA986&displaylang=en) Now then, in order to make .pacs or .pcs with Brawlbox you do these 3 simple steps... 1. Open your desired .pcs or .pac 2. Click file and go to save as... 3. Where it says save as type, click the opposite file type your missing. For example: if it's a .pac, save it as a .pcs and vice versa. There's also a third option called archive pair. This makes a new .pcs AND .pac! 4. When you are done selecting the file type to save it as, click save. 5. You are finished! Now go and have fun... So, if you ever download a texture that doesn't come with both PCS and PAC, just make them both yourself! If you need any more help let me know. Title: Re: .pacs Post by: DarkPikachu on September 23, 2010, 04:27:53 AM but if you save from PCS to PAC,
be sure to set the compression type to 'none' first (from 'LZ77')... I'm tired of having to fix the hacks I DL... Title: Re: .pacs Post by: TheZac268™ on September 23, 2010, 06:12:54 AM If your looking where to download the .pac or .pcs files or anything else from Brawl you can check HERE (http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=bf68243dc4c908b28d78a0e5552916095d6170349cac00195be6ba49b5870170).
The directory is: Data Partition (NTSC-U)/fighter/{character folder you desire(just look at the folder names)}/{the .pac or .pcs you want to download} If its a texture your looking for the name would look like FitPeach00. All the textures will have a two digit number at the end of them, most of the time the first digit is 0. If your looking for the PSA .pac it is usually the first .pac on the list and they look like FitPeach.pac. Those .pac's will not have the two digits on them. And for Animations, it would look like FitPeachMotionEtc.pac. Anything else like stages are also in there, directory being: Data Partition (NTSC-U)/stage/melee/{stage you want to download} Title: Re: .pacs Post by: GabbaGhoul on September 26, 2010, 10:25:36 AM " you can check HERE. Alright Prettly late bump, but this is sort of what I was looking for all the regular character pacs. but not all of them in that directory work is there a direct download with all pacs and motion pacs Title: Re: .pacs Post by: AshtrayHeart on September 26, 2010, 03:57:11 PM I thought I'd ask a question since we're discussing .pac files. Something recently hit me and I believe certain hacks are what make my game freeze.
Should .pac files be the exact same size for all the models/textures of each character? For example, my Squirtles. I have 5 model hacks set for them. All .pac files in there are about 575 KB except for one particular model hack. It's 607 instead. Just wondering if this is a problem. Title: Re: .pacs Post by: GabbaGhoul on September 26, 2010, 06:13:34 PM You know honestly, I dont think file size matters, but if it was converted from a file
like all the others which are the same size, it could be corrupted. Try making a backup and removing that file. if that doesnt work you still have your file, and idk what the problem is. |
