I want to place a really funny item texture but I do not know where it goes

common3.pac in the system folder.

You mean put the pac in the system folder? will bbrawl affect it?

And where to place strap menu stuff bbrawl does not have a pf/menu/strap directory (no menu and no strap I have pf)

Wait so put it in sytem and call it common3 or leave it itmdragoonsightbrres?

Find itmdragoonsightbrres in the common3.pac (in the itmcommonbrres). Replace the texture data with the new one you want.
Strap goes: pf/menu/strap the StrapEn.pac goes in there.

Wait I don't even have a common3 pac only common5 where can I find 3

go to the resources page under Brawlvault, scroll down to the bottom:
click on ; download "Data Partition" (make sure you choose the right one, either NTSC or PAL)
go through the mediafile folders and find the files you're looking for.
