Title: Song titles
Post by: Miniova on November 16, 2010, 06:11:44 PM
Can someone help me get the song titles right?  I've tried getting it to work many times but I've failed every time.  The game always freezes after the strap.

Make the text in the 2nd MiscData all dots. It's bound to lower the file size.

I've checked my file sizes...  It's lower than the original info.pac but it always freezes...  I don't get it

Could be the mu_menu.

Here, download an info.pac that I uploaded for someone else to use.

Take the first MiscData from your info.pac and place it in here. I don't remember if there are edited textures for in-game stuff, but it should help prevent freezing.

Segtendo's solution will probably work for you, if not I would recommend getting a clean info.pac file. The song titles just work perfectly for me, I just copied the MiscDate[7] from my mu_menumain.pac and replaced the MiscDate[140] in the info.pac with it.

Ok... i tried doing that Seg and it didn't work...  I even tried just using the file you sent me and that didn't work either...  music titles hate me...

EDIT:  I even just tried putting an unedited info.pac in the info2 folder and it still freezes...

I assume this freezing started when you put a info.pac on your SD card? Try to run your hacks WITHOUT the info.pac this time, and see if it still freezes. You either did something wrong while editing the info.pac or another one of your hacks causes the freezing.

I have done that before... it only freezes when I have the info.pac on...  I'll have only the info.pac on to see if it is conflicting with any other files possibly?

And you're using the File Patch Code 3.5.1? Or are you a PAL user?

I'm using 3.5.1 and I'm an NTSC-U user

Hmhm, here's what you could try. Delete the info.pac from your SD and even from the trashcan. Next, back up your SD card and format it. At FAT32 format. Then put your backup back onto the SD card. Download a clean info.pac and import your song titles. If that doesn't work, are you using an SD card over 2GB in size? But I hope the backup works.

That would be great, yeah. I'll only be able to test it tomorrow though. Could you also tell me which other hacks you are using?
