First off, I want to apologize for my absolute n00bishness. We've all been there.
Okay, so from the tutorials I've gone by, everything seems to be in order. But, at this point, I have a feeling that I'm either putting these files in the wrong folders, or if the folders are wrong or just case-sensitive.
Anyway, as for facts, my Wii is v4.2u. I'm using the 3.5.1 patch code (By PhantomWings, yes?). I'm running the game and the code through Neogamma and Gecko, but no results. Is there some IOS that needs to be installed/uninstalled on my Wii for it to work properly?

How would I go about placing the files? And must I edit anything?

Textures go in this file path private/wii/app/RSBE/pf/fighter/(char name)/fit(char name)##.pac/pcs
for the name of the folder and texture file, go look in the noob guide for the name. ## is the color you are replacing. A list of the colors are in the noob guide too.
Music goes in private/wii/app/RSBE/pf/sound/strm/song.brstm
Im not sure if the song names are in the noob guide but they aren't hard to find... if you go to the brawl vault resources you can find the brstm maker and that will let you choose which song you replace.
And don't worry lol We don't mind helping out people who need help, so long as your not abusing the help section.
I just tried the Link one, nothing worked at all. I have a few others that aren't showing up, such as a Knuckles-over-Pikachu one and a Shadow-over-DK one. I've come to understand that sound effects don't work, which is what I really meant by sound files (my bad, sorry lol). Are you sure it's not because my Wii is 4.2u? Should I try Riivolution?
I know it's not your wii being 4.2u. Mine is as well. Sound effects only work with riivolution so you'll have to switch to that for them. Hmm... tell me your file path for link and what the file is called.

Actually, none of them are working :(. I can't think of anything that would conflict with any of this stuff. And I swear my game is NTSC, else it wouldn't even work in my console. Should I delete my other .gct files? Could it be my SD card? It's an 8GB SDHC by Sandisk.

That's NOT the problem. Use ShadowSnakes riivolution, it can handle any size SD card.
i use a 32Gb and i use gecko and i have not had a problem with it
Its the SDHC card he's using.
mhmhm it could be that too,or maybe his Sd is damaged?

Riivolution doesn't let you save to your SD while using it though. That's why I don't use it

No ISO's riivolution only works with the retail disc from what I've read.

Good news everyone! (Futurama callback) The MicroSD works! I was playing as Knuckles up until I wanted to pick up an item...
However, I have to figure out how to make the Link TH work, as well as make Shadow show up. :D

Well, as it turns out, My Link .pac file was named FithLink00.pac. So, that's one of the problems, lol xDD
And, As for my Shadow one, I have four files in my Pikachu Folder that I don't know what to do with, they are named:
info_en.pac
MiscData[7].brres
MiscData[30].brres
MiscData[70].brres
What do do with them? >.<
Woops! It's actually my Knuckles one, not Shadow xDD

I'm not sure... lol the only thing i know any of those files for is for song titles. Open up the misc30 and 70 in brawlbox and look through them and tell me what the textures are if there are any. Don't worry about 7

It's this folder I'm trying to get working so I can use Shadow, It's called "For sc_selcharcter_en" and a folder in that called "sc_selcharacter_en". Now THIS folder has four folders in it (char_bust_tex_lz77, MiscData[30], MiscData[70], and Misc Data[90]) and in them are Character select pictures and life icons for Shadow. Where should I put these?
open selcharacter in brawlbox and inside of it you will find those files,open them and you will see pictures of the characters replace those with the ones in the folders you have then save it on menu2 on the pf folder,well atleast i have it like that
Yeah, that did the trick :). Everything's working awesomely, and I expected more out of Shadow, to be honest xDD.
