Recently, I noticed that I can't play All-star mode at all. Like, I can play all the other modes just fine, but the game always freezes after I pick a character and try to play all-star mode. Any advice on how to fix this problem?
Did you modify the All-Star Mode contents in any way? This includes the common2.pac and the STGHEAL.pac files.

You mean Common3.pac? I don't have 2.pac...
I'll reinstall Brawl+ and see what happens.even with the newer version of Brawl+, it still breaks down and freezes the game.
Everything else is fine though. This is a recent thing too. Just like a week ago, I was able to play All-star 2 player mode. Can it be the SD card?
I have system 4.2u. I updated from Mario Galaxy 2 :-X.
B+? I'm sorry, but I never used B+ nor B- before.
Also, the System Menu should not be the problem.Quote from: Kioki on November 27, 2010, 06:22:41 PM

No. What common2.pac is is a file that contains data for the solo game modes, such as Event Match, Classic Mode, and All-Star Mode. There's a thread which explains this stuff.

when playing all-star mode (unmodified), you always start fighting at the Flat Zone 2 stage vs. Mr. Game & Watch, try to first check if you have any problems related to the stage or character :)
I'm going to try to reformat my sd card. ever since it asked me to "clean" my sd card, it's been freezing.
Common2.pac was never in my brawl+ files... :kdance:
I tried out flatzone 2 with game and watch in brawl and classic mode and it works and plays fine.
PSAs cause all-star mode to freeze a lot.

That's what I'm thinking too. It might be that I have too many textures, but I reinstalled a clean brawl+ and it still freezes. I really think it's my SD card that's causing the problem. I used to be able to play all-star mode through b+.
would adding common2.pac fix this problem? I could've played without it before.

I don't know what a common2.pac is, never heard of it.
OMG it still freezes even with a new SD card!!!
Then something is wrong with your wii.
I activated a few of the brawl+ codes this time and it works!
When I activate everything (textures, motion.pacs, and stage hacks) B+ it fails...

Refer to the link on my last post for your answers to that file.
It has something to do with the textures and motion pacs. Is there a pre-made common2.pac that I can test out to see if it fixes my problem?
Good news! With just textures and no Brawl+ codes,
it doesn't freeze. So the source is brawl+ :>.>:
Is it because it uses too many codes and causes things to overload and crash?

In most cases, it's the number of codes that you're using. Less codes, less odds of getting game crashes at random occasions.
Is it possible for the SD card slot to be over used or worn out?
Nintendo products are usually pretty reliable.
