Title: Texture Hacking Help?
Post by: robo9 on December 04, 2010, 10:14:18 AM
Ive been trying to texture hack one of the alloys, and while in BrawlBox it looks like this:

Ingame looks like this:

Someone told me it was a shader problem, and after looking on google on how to change/disable shaders for about an hour, I decided to just ask here if anyone knew how to change/disable the shader and reflection deal on the alloys.

Also I know about the squares around his circles, I haven't used transparency on them yet.

Ummm....  just uncheck some of the textures when you preview his model in brawlbox to find out what he looks like in game.

That... That doesn't help me at all, nor does it have much to pertain to what I was asking. I need to know how to disable the shader effects ingame.

The Yellow Alloy's texture parts use the texture formats mentioned below.

FitZakoChild01 - 256x256 pixels - CI8 texture / RGB565 palette
FitZakoChild02 - 64x64 pixels - RGB5A3 texture
FitZakoEnv - 64x64 pixels - RGB565 texture
FitZakoEye01 - 64x64 pixels - RGB5A3 texture
FitZakoEye02 - 64x64 pixels - RGB5A3 texture

Your problem obviously has to do with the FitZakoEye01 texture part.  Try making the background for that texture part transparent; I looked at the original model, and the black squares were not present at all.

Again, Im not having problems with the black squares, its the fact the texture, the grey and yellow colouring, doesnt show on the model in game.
