Title: Stage Lighting
Post by: scorcher9910 on December 05, 2010, 05:55:31 PM
I made a stage and everything worked fine (well, other than graphical glitches, and I haven't worked on the collision data much), but for some reason it has really strange lighting. If you play it in-game you'll see what I mean.
Heres the DL link:

Does anyone know how to fix the lighting?

Hmm. Really dark, has 1 texture blasting out? That's Final Destination Lighting. Use my template, it has better lighting:

No, it's not really like that.
The light is kinda sectioned out and all leads to a center point.
I guess that would still be Final Destination lighting, because it's based over Final Destination.

Edit: Just remade it over your template, but still had the same problem.

replace the scene data with one from say wifitraining or some other stage that suits your lighting needs.

Here's a picture of my problem:

@LordNOaH Thank you, I will try that.

I've tried a bunch and they all have the same problem.  :srs:

then it might be a texture or shadow problem.  Look up mewtwo2000's guide for shadows, and make sure all your textures are named correctly in the correct format, otherwise the game will use the closest fit

Looks like a problem with the shadows. I had that with an imported castlevania stage, even after deleting all traces of shadows in materials/textures they would still show up in a weird way.

Unless someone knows how to fix that, you're out of luck =/

Thanks guys, hopefully  I can figure something out with the shadows.

Edit: Where is the shadow data located?

I guess that's relative to shadows, but not in this game. I mean, some texture in the original game is messing up the whole thing when played in brawl. It should be easy to remove that shadow-related texture by changing the type to 3 to that single material, in materials1. The change can't be seen in brawlbox, but if you find which's the model/material in there, then you should be able to find and fix the problem.

You can also send me the file so I can take it a look.

Thanks a lot, I'll try that. I have a download link in the OP, but I'm going to try to fix it, and if I can't, your help would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: I can't find a way to fix it, I would love your help.
