Title: Rainy Hyrule Castle's rain is stiff
Post by: (specter) on December 09, 2010, 10:08:26 PM
I have it replacing Bridge of Eldin, but when I play on the level the rain is stiff/unanimated. I have Rainy Saffron City's rain working, but this stage's rain isn't.

What's the exact stage file you've downloaded?

But I just realized it said in the description it doesn't work over Bridge of Eldin. Does it work over any other stage besides FD and Wi-Fi?

It says that it works over temple. It's based on one of the first versions of my stage, so compatibility is not really high.

Anyway, rain could be easily enabled for eldin by just changing the modeldata used for rain. Change the index from modeldata1 to any other working modeldata and test. If you don't succeed, I will make it work for you.

Oh ok. How do I access its modeldata? I could just take the rain modeldata from Saffron City which works and replace it with that.

The modeldata in the stage is supposed to be working, just change the ID of the modeldata with another to see if it works over that other one.

Ok but I need to know how to do that lol. I open up the stage's .pac in BrawlBox but I don't know where to look or what to find from there. There are so many MiscData[##]s in there; which one contains the modeldata that I have to edit?

Don't worry, I've fixed it myself

Rainy, working on eldin AND temple, both with rain. But there won't be rain over FD anymore.

Oh cool; thanks. But do you mind still telling me how I can do this myself for future references?

Edit: It won't let me download it... I click "Click here to download" but it takes me to a black screen.

Right click on model data folder and rename it to something else I'm pretty sure.

Which one? There are fourteen different ModelData folders. And what would I rename it to?

By the way, the download still isn't working, Mewtwo

Rename it to one of the model datas from the stage your moving it too. And of course you would want to rename the model data for the rain.

Alright but which ModelData contains the rain stuff? There are fourteen ModelDatas but I don't know which one has the rain in it.

Deleted the old link (which worked for me anyway)

It's just changing the id of the modeldata, in the menu to the right. Also, I've changed the fog and added some more rain to make it look better.

Ok but for the tenth time there are 14 different MiscDatas; which one is the one that contains the rain? And oh, well cool thanks for that.

Bump.

Also, does anyone know how I can remove the sounds of the Bulblin King or whatever his name is (I don't remember) and the other Bulbins' noises that they make?
