Title: Riivolution Help v2 Post by: Xaro on December 11, 2010, 08:22:36 PM Hey all. I'm using Riivolution with the same codes as in the FAQ section. (modlauncher.xml). I leave off the _en for all files and they work fine.
I'm having an issue right now regarding .rel files and stages. Anytime I get a stage that has a .rel file, I'm supposed to put them in SD>brawlmods>stages. If I do this for the .pac and .rel with proper names when I go to select the stage it freezes my Wii. Stages with just the .pac work fine. Please help so I can get my stages working! Thanks Also, are there any guides out there on making the strap menu screens? Title: Re: Riivolution Help v2 Post by: Victory Badguy on December 11, 2010, 08:35:06 PM Aren't .rels suppose to go in SD>brawlmods>module? Not with the modlauncher.xml. You can put them right in the stage folder. Anyway, are you sure that it's not a problem with the .rel's themselves? Did you make them yourself or are you using ones that came in the stage downloads? Title: Re: Riivolution Help v2 Post by: Xaro on December 11, 2010, 09:43:51 PM I'm using the .rels that came with the stage files.
Title: Re: Riivolution Help v2 Post by: Victory Badguy on December 11, 2010, 10:04:22 PM Well, then, I really can't think of anything else. I use the modlauncher.xml file and everything works perfectly for me. The only other thing that could be wrong is that you have the files named wrong. Could you give us the names of the .rel and .pac files for a stage that isn't working?
Title: Re: Riivolution Help v2 Post by: Xaro on December 12, 2010, 09:53:00 AM okay so all my files are located in SD>brawlmods>stages
there are several that aren't working, but just for an example I have: st_dxpstadium.rel and STGDXPSTADIUM.pac that's Pokemon Stadium 2. and the replacement files all came in a download for the Grand Stadium. (I can give you a link if it helps, but didn't think it was necessary...). Now when I go to click Poke Stadium 2 in the SSS (No custom SSS btw). It will start to load, then the light on the Wii game slot will stop flashing and it doesn't do anything...The only way to get out of this is for me to hold the power button and restart it. Those aren't the right names. Those are the names for replacing Pokemon Stadium 1. Try naming them STGSTADIUM.pac and st-stadium.rel Then they will work for Pokemon Stadium 2. I'm not sure about the other stages, but they could also be named wrong. If you could givce me a list of the stages being replaced, what you're replacing them with and what you named the files, I might be able to help. Title: Re: Riivolution Help v2 Post by: Xaro on December 12, 2010, 12:29:41 PM sorry i had the names wrong...they're named correctly on my card, but i mixed it up in that post...lol
So a full list of what I dowloaded, what i named it, and where I put it: First off, everything is in the folder i said before SD>brawlmods>stages Grand Stadium from this link: http://www.mediafire.com/?337bpm5e8x3g8xu (http://img824.imageshack.us/img824/6804/al1208031800binout.jpg) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P2fDMgRSHMU named them STGDXPSTADIUM.pac and st_dxpstadium.rel (to replace Poke Stadium 1) Co(http://i0.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/newsfeed/000/143/193/cad-20080602-358b1.jpg?1309710446)eum from here: http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php?Number=4345&Moderated=All named STGEARTH.pac and st_earth.rel endless heights from here: http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php?Number=4579&Moderated=All named STGDONKEY.pac ans st_donkey.rel konoha sqr(don't know where i got it from). named STGFAMICON.pac and st_famicon.rel Title: Re: Riivolution Help v2 Post by: Victory Badguy on December 12, 2010, 12:53:55 PM Darn, and here I though that I figured it all out.
Well, from what I can see, everything seems to be in order. My only other guess is that the .rels are somehow wrong. If you want, I could make you some new .rel files for these stages and you could see if those work any better.. Title: Re: Riivolution Help v2 Post by: Xaro on December 12, 2010, 01:43:41 PM if you think it'll help...thanks a lot!
Title: Re: Riivolution Help v2 Post by: Victory Badguy on December 12, 2010, 01:57:23 PM Here you go.
http://www.mediafire.com/?ks3hcbp15burcn1 (http://www.mediafire.com/?ks3hcbp15burcn1) I've got the ones in here for Grand Stadium over Pokemon Stadium 1, Co(http://i0.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/newsfeed/000/143/193/cad-20080602-358b1.jpg?1309710446)eum over Distant Planet and Endless Heights over 75m. I didn't know what the base stage for Konoha Square was, so I couldn't make one for that stage. Still, these three should work. Title: Re: Riivolution Help v2 Post by: Xaro on December 12, 2010, 02:30:34 PM okay i replaced them and i still can't load any of the 3 stages...there must be something wrong with my riivolution setup...i used the one from this thread: http://www.smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=262863
do these support the .rels directly in the stages folder? (ex. SD>brawlmod>stages>st_earth.rel Title: Re: Riivolution Help v2 Post by: Victory Badguy on December 12, 2010, 02:34:52 PM It can't be something wrong with your Riivolution .xml. I'm using the exact same one and it works perfectly for me. I'm even using .rels for replacing 75m, Distant Planet, Mario Bros and Pokemon Stadium 1!
I'm really sorry Xaro, but I'm all out of ideas. You'll have to find someone else to help you, because I can't think of what else could be wrong. Title: Re: Riivolution Help v2 Post by: Xaro on December 12, 2010, 03:41:11 PM could it be my system firmware? i think i'm on 4.2... would downgrading help?
Title: Re: Riivolution Help v2 Post by: Victory Badguy on December 12, 2010, 03:54:50 PM could it be my system firmware? i think i'm on 4.2... would downgrading help? I'm not entirely sure that it would help, but it certainly wouldn't hurt. If you can, downgrade your firmware. Title: Re: Riivolution Help v2 Post by: Xaro on December 12, 2010, 04:28:47 PM are you running a downgraded wii?
Anyone else know what might be causing the problem? Title: Re: Riivolution Help v2 Post by: Victory Badguy on December 12, 2010, 04:31:11 PM are you running a downgraded wii? Anyone else know what might be causing the problem? I haven't upgraded my Wii in months  But yeah, any firmware upgrades could be the culprit. Sorry, but I really can't think of anything else :( Title: Re: Riivolution Help v2 Post by: Xaro on December 13, 2010, 11:28:55 AM anybody else know what might be the problem? i only wanna downgrade if it's necessary...
