Title: I need help with a Kirby texture
Post by: noyeswhyme on December 14, 2010, 05:14:51 PM
Hey guys I'm new here and this is my first texture hack.  The Problem I'm getting is that when I load my texture into brawl everything works and looks good except Kirby's arms are black with a few spots here and there.  But when I preview it in BrawlBox it looks like it should.  Here are some pictures.

and this is what it looks like in Brawl: http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/ii75/noyeswhyme/Kirbydee3.jpg

And here's a link to the texture: http://www.mediafire.com/?g6wxp55daoacaaz

I tried everything I could thing of but like I said this is my first hack.  Thanks to anyone that can help!

I've looked at kirby's [hacked] textures before and they look nothing like they do in-game so IDK what's up. BTW pretty nice first try. Mine sucked...

Yea Kirby's preview kinda messed me up at first but I figured it out pretty quick.  Thanks It took me about 2 hours to get what I have.  I still can't figure out the arms though....UGH!

all im seeing is pics in Brawl Box...not in game...provide a screenshot of the texture in game.

Speaking of which...this looks more like a model hack, textures usually don't cause problems unless theres some sort of model involved, what I suggest is that you re-adjust the arms so that they match Kirby's arms in size and shape, that might help

Okay, first of all you should never change the texture formats.  From what I recall, the texture part that affects Kirby's arms uses the RGB565 texture format.
