Title: Rels
Post by: JooJoo720 on December 22, 2010, 02:52:44 AM
I put a  rel file, along with a pac file into the correct folder, but it freezes my game. Can someone help me with this. :(

Can you be more precise please? Can you show us in what folders you put this rel file and this pac file? I suppose it is for a stage custom, so as I know a little about stage custom and rel files, maybe I can help you!

An other question. Before you put this rel file, your game worked properly? Did your game used custom contents before this? And what version of SSBB do you use? A PAL or an NTSC-U? Or an NTSC-J?

yer srry i was in a rush before.
I use PAL, and do you have to use custom expansions, if so thats what im doing wrong, i use riivolution so i just have to put everything inside an ssbb folder.

Ah... You're not in the same case than me... I use a NTSC-U SSBB so it makes things easier...

I think the problem may be your folder, I will explain you what folder you should have. Read carefully.

Open your Sd card.

Immediately create a folder named private.

Open this new folder.

In this new folder, create a folder named wii.

Open this new folder.
In this new folder, create a folder named app.

Open this new folder.

In this new folder, create a folder named rsbp.

Open this new folder.

In this new folder create a folder named pf.

Open this new folder.

In this new folder, create a folder named stage, and a folder named module.

Open module folder.

In module folder, put your rel file.

Open stage folder.

In stage folder, create  a new folder named melee.

Open melee folder, and in this folder put your pac file.

If you do this, normally your custom stage should work. Good luck!

Ps: i have never used Riivolution, so if you still have problems, I won't be able to help you. I'm sorry.

I know that that wont work because riivolution works different, but i think it might be the nameing im doing wrong. If i had a stage from final destination over summit, what would i call them both?

Hum... Excuse me but I don't really understand... You mean your stage that you downloaded is supposed to replace Final Destination but in fact you want to replace Summit? Is this what you mean?

Just like I thought... In that case, it is possible!

Your pac file, rename it like this: stgice.pac

Your rel file, rename it like this: st_ice.rel

But I don't think it will remove the freeze. I'm nearly sure what is the real problem and I know how to solve it. All you need to do is to give me your rel file and I'll do the rest of the work. I wait your rel file and I will take care of this when I can, but be sure it will be today before 20h. (French hour as I'm french)

Thats the download for the full stage, but you could just take the rel out. If you can do this i will be so greatfull. :)

Download this, it is your rel file, but I modified it. I think your stage will work now. Put it in place of your old rel file and try.

Ps: I made a mistake in my last post about the name of the rel file, the rel file I give you has the name it should have so don't rename it.

I don't think PAL supports the use of .rels :-\
Thats why I switched to NTSCU...

rels for ntsc and pal are different

edit: if you want the original rels from your disc download a homebrew app called wiixplorer it lets you transfer files to the sd, to usbs and to dvds. I clicked on dvd while my brawl was inside and it showed me all the files and i could copy them to the sd or usb. then you have to hex

Msp26: Do you mean all rel files that are here on this site can only be used for US SSBB? If it is the case, thank you because you taught me something I didn't know... In that case, as I have an iso of a PAL SSBB, I will give him this rel file.

http://www.mediafire.com/?c4mjd5fnfhwrj1i

Here it is, a rel file for your stage that you can put in module folder. This time it is a Pal rel file, not an ntsc rel file like earlier.

You can thank Msp26 because I think he was a great help, in case if it works!

so i use your second link? thanks

Yes, you have to use the link of my last post as you use a PAL version, it is a rel file for PAL version, the rel file that you downloaded is apparently for US version so of course it can't work...

I'll take care of this if you say to me what stage you want to replace. But I can't do it now, I'm busy, I will probably do this after 23h30. (French Hour)

Hum I just want to know an other thing, have you already tried the other stage? If it is the case, can I know if you successfully played on this custom stage?

Title: Re: Rels

actually if its easier, could you just make a folder of all the PAL rels?

Yeah it worked

No problem, you will have all stage rels if it is what you want. It won't take a lot of time so I will upload this at the time I said.

You're lucky, I had some time left. Here are all rel files for stages.

http://www.mediafire.com/?gati5i96tbl16mt

Of course, they all are for PAL version. You just have to rename the custom stage like this:

STGXXX.pac

Replace XXX by what is after the "_" of your rel file.
