Title: Broken Disc?
Post by: The Corrupted one on January 04, 2011, 06:39:38 PM
I was playing at my friends house and his game kept saying"game disc cannot be read"and just loading slow.
Is this a broken disc?(he is really disrespectful with his disc and leaves them out all the time  :( ) he is fine with buying a new disc(no, he is not going to USB it) and twilight princess played fine just after.
Before he buys a new one he wanted me to ask: are you sure that it is the disc(and its completely destroyed)and not the Wii.

The only time it wouldn't read my disc......was when I put in it the wrong way. :srs:

Just make sure you're not being an idiot like me. :af:

Is the DVD drive starting to quit?  I had to alternate to a USB Loader program when my Wii's DVD drive started to act funny.

Heh, I had this same problem recently.
I went out and got No More Heroes 2 on Boxing day, but when I went to play it, it continually gave me the "eject disc" error.
I took the game back to the store and they switched it for another one. If this game was bought recently, you should have no problems in getting a replacement or money refunded.

Now, I got mine switched at first but it still didn't work when I tried to play it. Eventually the guy in the shop tried to play it on the store Wii and got the same problem, so I got my money back.
So before declaring the game dead, test it in another Wii first.

If it does work in another Wii, it may be a problem with IOS' on your friends system. If he has a soft-modded Wii he might be able to use things like WAD manager to fix it, but I'm not sure how those work.

No his wii is not soft modded(he uses gecko/SS) and his disc is scratched an beaten up.
Twilight princess worked fine afterwards.

Then it's 99% chance it's the disc.
