Title: Texture hacks on USB
Post by: WTVelocity on January 08, 2011, 10:37:11 PM
I'm sorry if this has already been covered, but I did a fullblown google search, and found nothing.

Can someone please tell me if and how I can add hacked characters/textures on here while loading SSBB off a Flash Drive? I don't have a working disc of it anymore, and don't want to buy another. Plus, the game works faster off the FD anyhow...

I saw the tutorial said to use Gecko, but I couldn't get one with USB support working, and it didn't describe well how to use/where to put RSBE01.gct

Someone please inform me what can be done here? I'm a complete noob with 3D sprite editing. Shoot, make that 3D game editing as a whole XP

Thanks!

Most USB loaders have Ocarina code support.  However, the way they handle the codes can vary.

With WiiFlow, you place your .gct codes in...

SD:\wiiflow\codes\gct\

Anyway I've had very little issues with WiiFlow, but you do need to install cIOS 222, 223, 249, and 250 first.

Thanks alot!
Now the question is, after I installed Wiiflow on my SD card, how do I get the textures to load up? So far I only put texture changes for the alloys, as I want to keep my original characters for now, too. So I need to use a certain hack in addition to make the alloy icons show up?

And where do I put all the texture hacks for Wiiflow to read them? I tried googling again, but still found nothing but "I want to" with no results without gecko...

I tried loading codes, but it said "no codes found" when I started it, so I assume I have to move them somewhere different from when I tried to use Gecko...

Edit: Ok, I figured out that the CSS screen itself is responsible for showing the alloys. Anyone know of a good CSS that shows import icons?

When using your Ocarina codes with WiiFlow, you place your hacks in the same directory as what you would do with Gecko OS.

SD:\private\wii\app\RSBE\pf\

And again, refer to the directory on my last post to know where to place your codes.
