Title: Sonic Eye Problem Post by: Pinutk™ on August 25, 2009, 11:46:06 AM Sorry everyone I just need help with I hope to be this one more thing. Nobody replied to my other topic so I am making this one and I locked the other one(no lockie for you shadow!) I just need to figure out why my SOnic texture doesn't have his eyes. I didn't delete his eye texture. So I have the background of his eye texture black is that why? Because I colored his iris texture black and thats how I got the white part near his eyes to be black I'm pretty sure. So I have his iris but not his actual eyes. Can someone help!!!!!
Title: Re: Sonic Eye Problem Post by: mnsg on August 25, 2009, 12:54:33 PM Basically, something fishy tends to happen when you try to edit the eye base. When you create the new Sonic texture, the eye base becomes transparent instead of becoming the color that you wanted. To edit the eye base, you need to instead edit Sonic's eye texture by filling the background with the eye base color that you want.

So basically what you're saying is that I should edit the BG of sonic's eye texture and his eyebase texture? Because I never got the latest ASH yet. And whenever I add it to the Sonic texture and test it in Brawl it freezes my Wii.
Title: Re: Sonic Eye Problem Post by: mnsg on August 25, 2009, 01:29:26 PM It's basically recommended that you use the latest version of ASH (v2.3) to edit Sonic since the older versions have problems with the eye base texture part.

I found it on Google! Does it usually take a LONG time to finish? I think the old ASH went A LOT faster.Title: Re: Sonic Eye Problem Post by: mnsg on August 25, 2009, 04:16:34 PM It's basically recommended that you use the latest version of ASH (v2.3) to edit Sonic since the older versions have problems with the eye base texture part. It takes longer to extract Olimar's PAC than to extract Lucario's PAC. Title: Re: Sonic Eye Problem Post by: mnsg on August 25, 2009, 05:26:27 PM Because when I get too Sonic's eye texture I hit y too it and it said texture created and then it just stays there!? It doesn't go anywhere just stays there... You must've goofed up somewhere, because I was successful with step 2 when I edited Sonic's eye to have a white background. Edit: The pcs didn't work right...I'm esperimenting with SmashBox too see if I can import the eye texture in correctly.
