Hello.  I have been stuck on this problem for a good couple of months and I really can't figure it out.  It is when I try to replace those little icons for the stages.  First of all, Brawlbox does not allow me to replace one of these with the similar format (which is C18).  So I try other formats, and the only one that doesn't freeze the game is CMPR.  However, I get thise weird bug where absolutely none of the icons show up at all and instead are all replaced with the text of the name of whatever stage is highlighted.  It's really weird and quite counterproductive to what I want.  So please somebody tell me I am doing something wrong here.  I really want these to work :(

Question:

Are you using a sc_selmap.pac or the common5.pac?

And then a follow-up question:

What do you mean by BrawlBox won't allow you to replace them?

I use sc_selmap.pac
 
And the message I get says, "Unhandled exception has occurred in your appliaction.  If you click continue then the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue.  If you click quit, the application will close immediately.  Object reference not set to an instance of an object"

When I ignore the message, it pops up again :/

It might be a problem with the icons. What format are they? .png or .jpg.

they are in .png. isnt that the correct format for them? it is for all other CSS/SSS stuff. 
Also, icons are supposed to be in C18 right? CMPR won't work I am assuming.  Hence my results when I tried them

OK, send me the icons you're using. I'll figure out what's wrong.

EDIT: The icons are fine. It must be that your sc_selmap is corrupted or BrawlBox is acting up. Try getting a more recent version.
