I'm editing my CSS for a hack an associate of mine is making, and one of the things I'm lookin to change is removing the names from the character tiles on the top-half of the screen. I've done it before, but I don't remember howwwwwww.
I've tried erasing the names so they're transparent, but that only makes it so the nametags are solid black bars. I've tried deleting the tags in BrawlBox, but all that does is make the nametags into solid GRAY bars. It's not a huge deal to keep the tags, it's just that with the character pictures, half of the nametags cut off the characters' eyes. Plus who needs nametags? I'll just download a CSS without the tags and see what I can dig up on the method from that... I've uploaded what I have so far, if anyone would like to take a look. Not only does his version register as having nametags, they're the same as standard ones in vBrawl. The only difference is his were in I4 format, and mine IA4.
So I tried it his way.
