ok so I downloaded a character select screen (http://img149.imageshack.us/img149/3893/kcmm.jpg)
but when I put it in it came out like this http://img829.imageshack.us/i/hni0001ed.jpg/I cant pick the characters in the bottom and I can select the top right hand player to open also when the cpus window thingy opens I cant pick characters for them does anyone know what I did wrong?
You need codes for it to work; didn't you read ASF1nk's thread like he asked to? These types of problems are very easily avoided if you take the time to read his thread. It contains a lot of important information that you need to know.

Who's? If I recall correctly that CSS is ASF1nk's; he is the only one who made it look like that.
Anyway, it doesn't matter; you still need codes for a CSS like that to function.
oh cause there are two links one is on the fourth page the other is on the first but I think its the same person.also do you know where the vid i downloaded goes to change the entering video?

Yeah that goes in
brawlmods/movie. You have to have Riivolution to use them, though.
oh also it says I have to use codes for the character select screen but do I need all of them?cause I put the custom css essential code he has but it frezzes my game so do I need all the essential codes in one ?

You're either not doing the code right or your sc_selcharacter.pac is over 3.79MB.

Hmm, did you download this (http://www.mediafire.com/?jzdzncy2dmt)? Use that CSS and put all your stuff into this one.

I did download that the sc_selcharacter I have it on my sd card but it dosnt come out

What do you mean "it doesn't come out"? I don't understand.
THE HACK IS in there but I only get the picture in the link abouve nothing else or do I need the file patch code in there with the other codes aswell?

And I used the file patch code all the time with any codes I had.
I got it to work now cause I was missing one code but the thing is that this dosnt work anymore http://www.mediafire.com/?gpndtxl2ij1e0 and I really want this one two its the pack that gives you 19 extra stages
you need to be specific here...people can't help you if you gibber your questions, and blah on your responses.
This is what I interpeted:
You are saying that you have all the files you need and its not working?
1. Make sure that your sel_character is under 3.70 (over that and you have issues)
2. Make sure all files are in the correct spot
3. Make sure you have the right CSS code to go with your CSS
4. If all else fails...revert to Gecko

For that one you just need to take all the codes found in the .txt there and paste them into your current .txt, then convert it to a GCT using Code Manager.
