Alright, I'll get straight to the point... My wii is hacked however its at 4.3U...
Everytime i load it up, using Gecko 1.9.3.1 and the codes from phantom wings, it freezes at the course selection screen. Sometimes it even freezes at the character selection screen. To bypass this I've rapidly mashed the start button but even so it freezes anyway. I've tried re-downloading gecko, even reapplying the codes but regardless it keeps freezing. I've looked all over for answers but have found none...So any help would be great!

The only things i can think of as to why these problems keep occurring are
-Gecko doesn't work for hacked 4.3U
-The codes i'm using aren't up to date or something like that.

Looks like you need this:
Disable Custom Stages v1.1: [Phantom Wings]
046B841C 48000040

Just add it into your GCT.

I somewhat did that before you responded. You see, I used a brawl patch thing to hack my wii again, but i never removed it thus it's what was causing my problems, plus i think i already had that code but the rehacker code was freezing my gameplay because it was trying to load the code or something like that.

I stumbled upon another problem though. Sometimes when returning from a battle (The battle results screen) freezes there when returning to the character select screen. It's not the kind of freeze that makes the obnoxious noise, it just sits there as if it's loading but it doesn't.

I think i'll try to reapply my codes to make sure i have the codes right including the code you supplied. What codes are absolutely mandatory? Perhaps it's simply that i'm missing one?

The only code that's absolutely necessary is the file patch code. You have that, right?

right after posting i decided to load it up again and see if it was still being bad...and oddly enough, several many battles later it wasn't freezing. I think it's because i didn't use certain hacked characters. I'm not 100% sure who they all are but i believe they're my problem.

In any case i believe this problem has been more or less solved, the rest i'm sure is simply my fault or a bad file.

I've had my game freeze randomly at the CSS when I moused over a ZSS custom CSP (that never froze before) and once returning from the results screen. Sometimes it doesn't too, though; it's totally random. I think Riivolution is buggy or something because all these files I'm using are fine. It chooses when to freeze and it's completely random.

My gecko works with 4.3.

Did you use Smash Stack to get homebrew?
