Title: Changing the Stage Replaced Post by: flyinelk212 on February 26, 2011, 05:31:01 PM Hey guys. Basically, I have a texture for a "Champion Lance's Dragon Stage" that currently replaces Final Destination (in pf\stage\melee, I have it named STGBATTLEFIELD_B.PAC , making it accessible if I press and hold "Z" and "Start" when I select Final Destination on SSS).
What I was wondering was what exactly must I do to get that stage replaceable for, say, Pokemon Stadium 2? I've already tried simply renaming the file "STGSTADIUM_B.PAC", but that doesn't work. I have a hex editing program, I was just wondering if anyone could help walk me through the process of making this stage replace Pokemon Stadium 2 instead w/ the same process. I'm using .pac files, so the Wiki page doesn't help, since it just lists how to do it w/ .rel... Any help's appreciated!! Title: Re: Changing the Stage Replaced Post by: flyinelk212 on February 26, 2011, 07:46:08 PM OK, I'm trying to get around this by simply downloading the "Stage Expansion Pack 2.0". http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php?Number=13586
However, I've got a few more questions. I don't know why, but my SD card doesn't have a "Modules" folder containing .rel-s. I don't have either. Yet somehow, hacks work well for me. I see that the "Stage Expansion Pack 2.0" requires you to place .rel files within this Module file, as well as imputing several new codes into your RSBE01.gct . I believe I've got the codes right, and for now, I simply placed the entire "Modules" folder (including the "Modules" folder itself) onto the root of my card. Then, I placed the contents of "melee" (the STGCUSTOMSTG's) into the stage/melee folder. However, when I tested it out, I saw no extra Stage selection slots. What gives? Dunno if it's important, but I have DarkFlamingblue CSS, and tried to combine that RSBE01 with the one in this pack. If this doesn't change anything, then it is likely the .GCT your using. Do any of your other hacks work okay? Yeah, all of my other hacks work perfectly fine..... o_O" I just tried moving the module files into the "pf" folder, but still no dice......you're right, I must've not combined the codes from the RSBE01 files correctly... is there a particular method for doing so? I just used a hex editor, and copied the codes from 1 RSBE at the end of another. Title: Re: Changing the Stage Replaced Post by: flyinelk212 on February 26, 2011, 09:27:16 PM Oh! Okay, I used GCTEdit to combine the GCT's and now the selections are there, and all of the other hacks are still working! ...except now, the game freeze whenever I try to pick one of the new "Customstages". :oshi:
I haven't replaced any of the .pac files that came w/ the download, so perhaps that's the problem? Unless there's a code confliction......does pickong the Individual Pokemon before trying to select the new stages have anything to do with it? Any which way though, I guess this thread's problem is technically solved, so I guess I'll make a new topic. Thanks so much for your help, Dr. Panda! |
