Post by: Angelglory on August 28, 2009, 11:20:42 PM
"Acrobatic Blader" :pit:

This moveset is focused on cutting up enemies with combos and 'aerial raves'. With a bit of practice, you can easily pursue airborne enemies and tear them up some more.

Download V.0.6 here (http://www.esnips.com/doc/0b2a6832-2051-4d89-ac96-5234d490b310/FitDavis) (includes Acrobatic Blader texture + change log)

I love this moveset, but its really broken, I'm especially talking about his Side B, there is no way that Pit can be killed as long as he can do that attack over and over again =p

But don't get me wrong, its still an epic moveset, I've been waiting forever for a pit one XD

Yeah, it's side B is really hard to hit anyone with. But i'm really looking forward to the next release to see all the fixes. This is a really great Pit moveset! Congrats =D

Thanks for the input, I'll fix those problems in the next release. It is intended to be his only recovery move anyway.

Well it should be like Ike's Quick draw, it can cover a large area, but can only be used once in the air

I like the additions to the newest version, especially that sexy down smash ;)

I can't wait for the next version so I can see what you're trying to do with the neutral B

Oh and I found this weird glitch, well its not really a glitch, but its weird. At least it doesn't affect gameplay

Yeah, Side Smash has been annoyance in general, it's difficult finding a code that has him hold both blades forward, but I will try and fix the graphics.

This guy feels pretty cool! I love the Side-B; prolly my favorite move. =D An issue I have, tho, is that he loses all his recovery, even his jumps, when he uses it on the ground and slides off. He covers like half the stage, so that happens a lot. Also, he can't grab the ledge on his way down, which was kinda annoying. Your D-Tilt [I think] had A LOT of ending lag, kinda got annoying...

But your F-Smash and UAir are beautiful, save the backwards blade. =P I'm also not quite sure what B is supposed to do.

My two cents.

Well, you shouldn't have to worry too much longer, in the next release, which is almost ready, you can grab the ledge after Side B and the Neutral B is finished.

What is the neutral B attack you made?

Title: Re: Acrobatic Blader (V.1.)
Post by: Angelglory on September 02, 2009, 09:15:01 PM
Oh, it's meant to function as a keep away attack to swat enemies in front of you away. Just a way to relieve some pressure that the opponent might be dealing you.

But the more appealing feature that I'll be adding in soon is in his new Down B: Blast Off. It will have a bit of a start-up, but if it connects, it sends the enemy straight up which allows you to chase after them and execute a string of follow-up attacks to make an 'aerial rave'. (ala Marvel vs. Capcom style, if you need a better way to picture it.) Of course, this move entirely depends on if that code for getting off of the ground is figured out.

It's been figured out =P Check out UMOP's Fighter Kirby, it's actually really simple.

Just gonna come out and say it, I need help his Down B.

1. I'm not exactly sure how to get the lift off the ground code to work properly. I know where the event goes, but not clue how to implement it so it actually works.
2. I need to find out how to make the stun of an attack to go on longer so the follow-ups of the Down B can actually land.

That be all for now. Also, feedback for the latest version would be nice.

1) I believe if you increase the parameter of the event that moves the character upwards (Like the one found in Ness and Lucas' Bu) you can increase the vertical movement, although I've never tried it, I'm just taking the forum's word for it.

2) You can add a special collision hitbox that will do no damage, so you can increase the amount of damage to it so the stun effect lasts longer. Go to Fenox's thread on special collision hitboxes. that should have the info you're looking for. =)

Update, but nothing to show at the moment.

Changes for Version 1.5:
- Tweaks to some moves so they're a bit stronger. At the moment, for those who actually use Acrobatic Blader, his only reliable KO move is his DownAir.
- DownB: Blast-Off will be switch to UpB
- The originally planned new UpB, Ghost Step, will now be the new DownB. This move will be a counter attack.
- The 'Aerial Rave' feature will start to be implemented into Blast-Off
- POSSIBLY a beta of his new Final Smash: Cut the Horizon. It's a big possibly, since I'm still a bit iffy on how to construct FSs since Pit's is originally an 'article FS'.
