Ok, so now that we might have a Clone Engine thanks to PW, which character in all of the brawl roster would you replace without a second thought?

this isnt a hate poll, dont pick a character simply because you despise it, pick it because you truly wouldnt miss it if it wasnt on the roster.. ones that you or your friends will probably NEVER play as for as long as you play brawl..

I'd get rid of Jigglypuff. All other characters interest me at least somewhat - even R.O.B., Game & Watch, Snake and Olimar - but Jigglypuff is just plain [censored].

Ice Climbers... I just don't like how they play, I hate how they suck without chain grabs... So I wouldn't miss them really, although I guess a proper PSA for them would be nice.

...Although I dislike Jigglypuff greatly too...

Never got to play Olimar at least decent enough to consider him a good Smash character.

Who chose Donkey Kong? I've never heard any Komplaints about him before. Anyways, I chose Jigglypuff. I mean, what is she good for? She floats, that's about it. But so does Kirby. Rollout and Sing are horrible, and Rest doesn't make sense, either. It does nothing except a good amount of damage if the opponent just happens to be in exactly the right place. And it leaves you wide open.

I chose Jigglypuff, she should have never made it into any Smash. <_<

Ice Climbers would have gotten my vote too, why? I won't waste my time mastering them, they're too time consuming when the others aren't as much.

I ment Olimar himself is a bug XD

I would not replace Olimar because he is a good Smash character.
Everytime I play an Olimar online, they can be beast. :srs: Plus, they're annoying to try and kill. ^3^

Never appeared in a video game, and I'm glad I placed Cloud over him.
Don't miss him. I would miss Olimar a bit since he's good, but ROB fell on harder times when people found footstool infinities with several characters.

If I were to replace anyone, it would be Olimar with the "Kid Goku Over Luigi" port.

...so I'd replace Olimar with Luigi so I could replace Luigimar with Kid Goku.

Falco, because there are too many Star Fox characters to have such similar attacks, no matter how different their stats may be. Replace him with a proper Wolf that has some of Falco's characteristics for an even more distinct Star Fox character.

R.O.B. sucked before in Mario Kart DS... (How he got in that game is beyond me.)

R.O.B. was a weird peripheral... Which to a lot of people playing with it, also sucked. (only has 2 games)

and despite all of this, he's in Brawl too... with a ballzy moveset. That's just unacceptable!

Game and Watch here.  At least R.O.B has a couple of nice vertexes like Wall-E and Magnezone but Game and Watch has nothing.  Not to mention that a lot of the decent textures force you to only have that texture.

Wario. I mean, you've got to be pretty sick or demented to feel any kind of attraction towards him.

The following choices are in order from first to last.

Olimar, R.O.B., Mr. Game & Watch, Ice Climbers, Toon Link, Lucas, Marth, Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong, Pit, Wario, Yoshi, Jigglypuff, and possibly Pikachu...

But you know guys, you do realize that the point of the clone engine is to make it so we can have additional characters WITHOUT replacing existing ones due to new character slots, right? >.>

While it's true that ROB is weird and has sub-par appearances, if not for him, Nintendo wouldn't have saved the world from the Video Game Crash of 1983.

i chose donkey kong.. never really liked him much..

his games are alright.. but if i replaced him, i really wouldnt miss him.. i mean, why do you think he stopped being a playable character in the mario party games? why did it take so damn long for them to release a new donkey kong game? hes just all around meh for me..

Jigglypuff has my respect because i know a good tourney guy who beat my ass with ZSS, his second main is jigglypuff, and ive seen him play, he got in 4th place with one, and that was against a badass falco.

rob would be pretty high on the list for me too simply because hes a relic.. like why of all times would they bring him back NOW? a simple nostalgia hit? and so instead of bringing back mewtwo, you decided to place HIM in the game?

as for olimar, hes ok.. ive seen some good olimar's in my day.

and G&W is alright too, but yeah.. the texture handicap does kinda bug me a bit.

Didn't Nintendo say they were going to "remove clones" that showed up in Melee...

We have Lucas, Falco AND Wolf, and Toon link, all clones of an original character... :srs:

Mmmmm... One of the few anyway, I believe ItalianStallion replaced him with Grey Fox, so... I honestly keep him, because he was one of the ones I wanted in Brawl before it was even announced...

I only wish for a nerfed version that's well... Not nerfed in an overkill way.

Their movesets are about 80% identical, especially when it comes to the specials. >.<

And don't even try saying Wolf's specials, since they work completely different from Fox and Falco's.

Falco however is a clone and always will be. Ironically his moveset is better that way. XD

Much less of a clone than he was in Melee.  In fact, one of the reasons Falco is still S Tier is because of how he has essentially been "de-cloned" from Fox.  The two actually take completely different approaches now and require different techniques to win.  It's not like how in Melee where if you a pro at Fox, you were practically a pro at Falco too (except for a couple of things like the Blaster, Reflector etc) whereas in Brawl that doesn't apply.

Also, dont take it as me saying I dont like Falco. In fact, he was my main in Melee! I Just think they could have done more to differenciate them further.
Although, most of Fox's attacks were made up to begin with so...

fox reflects in the games, he just does a barrel roll in the games instead XD

as for his blaster.. what space pilot doesnt have a blaster? :srs:

and finally the more obscure, Fox fire comes from japanese lore, foxes were considered supernatural and posessed the ability to use fire..

also if you saw foxes getting married.. they will save themselves the trouble of killing you by sending you a Tanto to commit Seppuku with... :notimp:

With the exception of the blaster, none of those things actually appeared in any Star-Fox games. The reflector is obviously based off the barrel roll...

But why couldnt they make fox spin rediculosly around and call it a barrel roll? XD

well Starfox Adventures did have the rocket staff power... does that count? XD

and you could use barriers in Starfox Assault

With the ones with the most votes, I could pretty care less for olimar, Game & Watch [more like Mr.Trash and Watch], and R.O.B.
Why I hate these characters:

 :rob:-R.O.B spams with his down attack, and he wasn't even that great, anyways. I don't care, I just CAN'T STAND him. I just think he was pretty much nerfed, and a useless piece of trash.

 :olimar:-Olimar is just a friggin waste. I DON'T CARE if you have to be so good with him, all he does is spam, and fight with his pikmin. I don't get why Nintendo put one of the lamest, and sorriest characters ever.

 :gw:-Mr.Game & Watch is pretty much useless to make hacks, and there were rarely any good hacks over him, just only textures, that's it. He's valuable to Nintendo? Nintendo acutally cherish him, and let him in Brawl? More like a 2-D piece of paper trash.

I'll replace pit... With what? ANYTHING! I'd prefer Link's Grandma from windwaker than pit... People say metakinght is cheap... But has anyone noticed how 2 of pits special reflect, his main special is a ranged special that can be controlled in circles (Not saying it isn't cool just saying its cheap and easily spammable) And his recovery is practically the best in all of brawl...
I like R.O.B, G&W, and olimar... I use them all, R.O.B is the cheapest in the 3 but I still wouldn't replace him... Another character I'd like to be rid of is Jigglypuff... I still can't believe Nintendo ditched mewtwo and kept jiggs... Jigglypuff has good moves... But she can be replaced by another pokemon without even changing the moveset! Meaning, she isn't unique. I'd also replace Pikachu... What ever made that rat so special? Just because he was the main pokemon in the series? FORGET HIM! Give me some better pokemon like gardevoir/gallade, Celebi, Mew, or even Misty's dewgong! (Misty had an epic dewgong that never got the attention it deserved)

I hope Nintendo puts better characters in the next Smash Bros... Maybe even some golden sun or more F-zero characters... Captain Falcon needs a real rival... His knee of justice is tired of pwning noobs!

It's a shame ROB, Olimar and Toon Link are so hated. They're easily some of my favorite new smash characters, although Toon Link hasn't been bashed too much ITT.  (but loads of people despise him apparently)

by the way, this wasnt meant to be a I HATE THIS CHARACTER WITH A PASSION thread/poll, this was a character you could really care LESS about..

so please keep flaming on a character to a minimum, i dont want people starting arguments because their favorite character is being hated on.

Hmmm. TL's my main. It's a shame that they see him as a link clone. He has a few distinguishing factors.

as much as i miss young link.. toon link is cool too..

but if we ever make a clone engine and bring back young link, PSA and all.. im probably going to overwrite toon link.. XD

I kinda wish the Clone Engine would be done so we could have more characters without having to remove the default ones.

Maybe then there would be a Project M with Mewtwo AND Lucario, and NO b****ing about "waaaah they took out the clones even though we never liked them in Melee we prefer the Melee clones over the Brawl Luigified clones". >_>;

He's workin on a Young Link.

-Jigglypuff is god-like in the air
-I didn't like R.O.B. at first (but because I didn't like the character), but I find him good too.
-I've always wanted Olimar. I find him to have the most difficult AI. He kicks serious ass if you're good with him.
-Mr. G&W's specials are next to useless, more of a gag, authentic character.

I'm good with all characters and want all of them to stay. The only characters I honestly can say I'm no good with are G&W, Lucario, and maybe Squirtle. If I had to replace one (which I have, with Cloud), it would be G&W.

Olimar's been getting some good vertexes at the moment.
Game & Watch is barely editable. We can only change his color and a little bit of his model. I DO know about meleemaster's Mrs. Game & Watch. Game & Watch can go :srs:

R.O.B., simply because all other characters have cooler texture hacking potential than he does.

Woah woah, everybody change dopinion on Jiggly and bashed G&W, I'd not replace G&W because I play FFA with my friends 4 times a week and one of 'em mains him. lol. The list of characters I could replace is very thin... (Hell I replaced Olimar with Cloud and forced a friend to not to use Oli again, he was one of his 4 characters.)

DX Why do people bash on Jigglypuff, at least they didn't make Magikarp playable.
I wouldn't want Nintendo to remove any characters, just add more characters and buff up the old characters that need buffing.

We're also not discussing which characters to take off, we're discussing which to replace with the Clone Engine, just in case. XD

I don't think of Young Link being removed as taking out characters, I mean, Link isn't the OOT Link anymore, he's the Twilight one, and Young Link evolved for the new "young" Link.

As for Roy and Mewtwo, those should have stayed... Dr. Mario was obviously Mario with a white cape.. <<

Besides, I don't know too many people who actually like R.O.B & Olimar except for those who admit it in this post. I don't mind playing with them (I do once in a while) and I like to fight R.O.B. as a opponet in Brawl (because in every match he is a demon on LV9). Olimar is....well....lonely, but I don't know if I could get rid of him

And seriously, Jigglypuff!!!!! There isn't a singly hack that Jigglypuff haters have not tried? An awesome Jigglypuff psa was made.
