ive hacked before but i recently had to format my sd card, making me start all over. and i was wondering if anyone would know why my game keeps freezing once i get to stage selection. i even gave it time to load before i pressed start. all im doing is testing some texture hacks. i cant figure out whats wrong

Are you using Gecko or Riivolution? What texture hacks are you testing? Etc.

im using gecko os, and im trying out the flying mario and legendary cloud textures

ok well classic mode works, but vs mode still freezes at the stage selection

Do you have anything in the sc_selmap.pac? The filesize is usually the reason why it freezes.

i dont have that file... could you show me where to get it and where what folder to put it in?

Then it must be one of the textures you have. Or maybe it's the SD card since you formatted it. Trying giving your files a once over, and if it still doesn't work, try using another SD card.

i figured it out. i didnt delete smash stack after i installed the homebrew channel
