Title: Anyone get curious? ... (BRSTM Downloads) Post by: Diddy Kong on March 28, 2011, 09:14:53 PM dunno if it goes here or even a valid subject for the forums.
but, does anyone wonder how long (in minutes) the brstms they download are? (or how they managed to loop it? (for hard to loop songs)) :af2: Title: Re: Anyone get curious? ... (BRSTMS) Post by: Volt_Storm_7 on March 28, 2011, 09:26:47 PM なに?
Title: Re: Anyone get curious? ... (BRSTM Downloads) Post by: mnsg on March 29, 2011, 07:08:28 AM People can use BrawlBox to create their BRSTMs. However, the following does need to be kept in mind...
1: The start loop point has to be a multiple of 14336. If your BRSTM's start loop point isn't a multiple of 14336, it'll be modified so that the start loop point meets that criteria. The end loop point isn't affected by this dilemma. 2: Channel amounts can affect the file size of a BRSTM. A BRSTM with only one channel will use less memory than one with two channels, but won't sound as good. 3: Sample rates play a big factor in file sizes. A 32000 Hz sample rate will use less memory than a 44100 Hz sample rate. However, higher sample rates mean better quality sound. Downside for higher quality sound, however, is erratic behavior risks when played on games that utilize 32000 Hz BRSTMs (such as Brawl). 4: BRSTMs aren't compressed, so two BRSTMs that have the same number of channels, the same sample rates, and the same length will have the exact same file size. I've never had that happen to me :/ I've been editing the loops manually and they come out perfectly every time :/ (I don't use that multiple thing (I repeat the loop until it sounds right)) Title: Re: Anyone get curious? ... don't use MP3 audio quality is greatly lowered when you get the audio file (not in mp3 format already) be sure to use WAV ;) I'm prbly stating useless info, but yea... :P I usu listen to the music at first to find a good loop point, then I edit out the end, and import the WAV into Brbx. after that, all I have to do is fand the perfect places at the start and end... (some music gets annoying when repeating the loop end-start (not the entire thing)) XDD most of the loops I do have an intro eg: Cows & Cows & Cows (looped) Unknown Keygen Music (looped) <- first music hack (not the best loop) Title: Re: Anyone get curious? ... I use the MP3 in my audio editor (SONY ACID), then when i got the loops (because all the audio i get are in that format), i mark the starting loop area (ACID tells me what sample that is), and render it as WAV , then i work on it with brawlbox, why I use MP3, well the downloaders convert it to a single-channel low-quality .wav, where it can convert to high quality MP3don't use MP3 audio quality is greatly lowered when you get the audio file (not in mp3 format already) be sure to use WAV ;) I'm prbly stating useless info, but yea... :P I usu listen to the music at first to find a good loop point, then I edit out the end, and import the WAV into Brbx. after that, all I have to do is fand the perfect places at the start and end... where are you getting your music from?? :/ if it's from YT, you can use Free Video Downloader (really for DL-ing from YT, or converting files you already have) :) don't worry, it's got HQ support for almost everything ;) ^(that includes mp3, but you still get the digital noise at times) Title: Re: Anyone get curious? ... (BRSTM Downloads) Post by: Diddy Kong on April 01, 2011, 10:37:56 PM ^ I make brstms at 44100 wav
and I download them as 44100 MP3s and yes, ALL my unsorucable audio comes from youtube |
