anyone know where to find the superstar song file on a brawl disk? i would love to replace that little song with some hard core metal. something that makes you afraid when you hear it.

well, all the sound files are located in the Sound Folder, in that folder is strm and the sound files should be in there.

You will need to use the Sound Code Names list located in the Complete Noobs Guide To Brawl Hacking to refer to what you are replacing

The star is NOT a BRSTM.
I've never seen it in the BRSTM folder, so it HAS to be a sound effect.

That's just a BRSTM of the theme. It's still not a BRSTM.
Look through the strm folder and tell me if you find a BRSTM for the Star.

so then it must be a sound effect, but are those changeable? i was [censored]ing around in the partition i ripped from the iso. in the sounds folder NEXT to the strm folder i found a file called smashbros_sounds.brsar. i opened that up in brawlbox, and found... some stuff... dont really know what it is...

i cant read the file at all in brawlbox. if i try to export it, i get a crazy error, and the file i export has no size to it.
i would upload the whole smashbros_sounds.brsar, but its 101mb.

now i know that we can change sfx. like the announcer, or something. it must be in this folder. do i need a new program to get into it?

Yeah, the smashbros_sound.brsar is the sound effects file. If you inject or replace files using it in a hex editor you'll get different sounds. :srs:

im not seeing how to inject anything into that, its all numbers.
trust me, im going through every thread that was pulled by searching smashbros_sounds.brsar. i have downloaded so many editers and crap in the last half hour. im geting close, but i really need a tutorial on how to do this. i got sawndz, i got smashbox, i got smashatacks. im downloading things that other tutorials tell me to do, but im not getting closer to the actual replacing of the file.

ok, im stumped. i cant figure this out. i really need help to do this one little thing.

it helps a little, but the guide still does not tell me where the item sxf are in smashbox. thats the bigest problem. if i cant find the item sfx, i cant get the number code and cant replace anything.
it is a very good guide though.
