Title: Replacing Link's boomerang with an imported model

okay, so I'm fairly new to actually hacking, but I was wanting to know how it would be possible to put a imported model over say, links boomerang, I know how to replace the mdl0, textures, and chr0, but when I try to use it in game it crashes, the model/animation of what I want to replace it with is here http://www.mediafire.com/?tp5iiy9fnen5lj9 , I'm thinking it has something to do with the bones, but I'm not sure....but any help would be greatly appreciated.  :af:

how large is the model ur replacing it with? it could be a file limit issue

My cpu says it's 37.1 KB, while the boomerang it's self is 125 KB

Rename the bones to the same as the boomerang, the only thing I can think of.

no, I didn't think that would have anything to do with it since I've already replaced the boomerang with Toon Link's before, and I already tried that but it didn't work ._.
