every time i use the ssbbtemplate.xml and the "ssbb" folder in riivolution it only shows a black screen!!
please help!!

no because it said to use a single folder called "ssbb"
Well, I can tell you this. Get another xml or modify it. Putting everything into one folder won't get the game to read your hacks that's for sure.
Don't ask me anything else related to riivolution as I don't use it.

I doubt the save, the game itself would be responsible for that or it is riivolution. Not the save.
My save file was preventing my hacks from being loaded.
To use that XML correctly all you have to do is just put all hacks in that one "ssbb" floder. thats exactly how it works for me. every thing except "sss" and "css"!

so what you need is the more advanced xml, you can find that one on the riivo page too, just download the "file patch replacement support" XML and put your files in the same folders as you have to in gecko
got a black screen on that one too
did you put the xml in the riivolution folder on the root of the SDcard??
and, it can be your hacks... maybe you have some bad straploaders, intro movies or something.
Try either BeyondYou's XML file located in the Vaults, or the XML thats in Toon's Riivo Guide. NEVER EVER USE THE ONE THATS ON THE RIIVO WIKI, that never works properly

uhm the one on the riivo thing is the best one you can get, and it works...
that one works like the gecko one, you know, with sc_sc files
where's toon's xml?
