Title: Format Vs. Quick Format Post by: Juri Han on April 29, 2011, 08:24:39 AM Noobish question, but I test my hacks out ALOT. Especially now that I'm making BRSTM's and I constantly need to test their volumes in-game. Anyways, I know that in order to prevent your audio from screwing up, you need to format your SD before you put new songs on it. That's where my question comes in.
I have an 8gb SDHC, and it's a pain to sit through each time I need to format it (15-20 minutes each time). Would it still be sufficient if I were to "quick format" instead, or will that just keep the results of the music getting all glitchy? Thanks in advance, you guys~ Title: Re: Format Vs. Thanks in advance, you guys~ uh what? why should you format it so many times, I've only formatted it once and it works perfectly with music + other hacks... Title: Re: Format Vs. Aren't you meant to usually use no larger than a 2GB regular SD card? If you have one of those, try using that instead and see if it works. Title: Re: Format Vs. Well, for some reason, when I don't format mine, the music starts messing up about 2 minutes into the song. Don't get me wrong, I don't format it THAT often. Only when I add new BRTSM's... @SDoom Sorry, forgot to mention that I use Riivo ^^; Title: Re: Format Vs. I read somewhere that the readingspeed can also be a problem, but I don;t think that IS the problem since the hacks work if you format.. hmm... Title: Re: Format Vs. Quick Format Post by: Puraidou on April 29, 2011, 08:52:58 AM I never had to format my SD card when adding new songs. I used a 2GB Micro SD with SD adapter in my wii. Might wanna try using that and see if it still messes up.
Title: Re: Format Vs. Quick Format Post by: Juri Han on April 29, 2011, 08:55:55 AM Hmm, those are definitely some options I could try out. Yeah, I might as well give that a shot, and just ease up on the formatting in general @.@ Thanks, guys~

Title: Re: Format Vs. Quick Format Post by: Juri Han on April 29, 2011, 08:58:06 AM Alright, will do ;D
Edit: So far, so good. No formatting and the music is still glitch free. If it DOES mess up, I'll use your suggestion, Pride ;D Thanks again |
