Surprised no ones found this yet.
Anyways I've found out how to charge attacks.
You want to use variables.
Infact, you want to use a random access float variable.
To add one, put in the event 12060200.
Leave value where it is.
Variable set to random access float.
Add a number 150+ (this'll stop conflicts).
In the "charge" subaction add the event 12070200.
Change value to how much will be added.
Change variable to the previous variable.
Now.
If you want the variable to increase damage.
It's simple.
Make a hitbox, in damage change value to variable, then add the variable :af:
I'm messing around with this right now, I think i've found how to max out the charge.
ENJOY, I know I will :D
EDIT: The event set float variable( changing the value to 0) changes the "charge" to 0.
Wow.
...
Just wow. It really is kinda simple.
Sweet, nice work! I'll surely use this at some point.

Video.
Is the fire Graphic Effect size also variable-based? (Is there something new demonstrated in the video?)
The fire graphic and the amount of damage are variable based.
soooooooo.... can you use this in a special?

Sweeeet.
@nejuer: I believe he already is.
anyone want to explain this more i dont seem to understand how it works... :srs:
when you change the variable in damage do you need to change any other settings?
I love you untouch.
and I love you variables.
ughh i cant seem to get this to work!!!
Another awesome find.
You should really just keep one thread, were you update with everything you find, so you don't have too look at a lot of your threads to find all of this useful information.
once I get some free time I can put all his discoveries in the "Essential PSA Information" thread
k thx
Can someone explain this to me?
I've read the topic like a 100 times, and I still don't get it :(
Please?
Its simple, in help threads i have explained this before. There is a variable that increases. The variable number is set as the damage number now. So if the variable = 1 then the damage = 1 and when the variable increases, so does th damage. The only thing is that when i used this method for split persona marth on one of his graphics X offset, it never showed up (i do have theories on why it didnt work, but im lazy, so i dont really care).
so if i put the event in the charging animation of ike's forward smash, set the variable to like 160,
and replace the value of the hitboxes in the attack animation to variable and then 160, it charges?
i still don't really understand :(
Oh BTW, there are other ways to have charging (they would be used in other situations).
