Title: How to make CSP transparent?
Post by: lolauses on May 29, 2011, 06:24:47 PM
I am trying to make a mewtwo CSP, but it always has the dreaded colored background

Now someone said to make it magenta, but I still shows as a background

P.S., I am using the "Dark Flaming CSS" (http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php?Number=2219&Moderated=All&facebook=true)

Go use the programs Gimp or Paint.net, now just select the magenta with the magic wand and delete it.

Doesn't work, it makes it transparent in PhotoShop, but in brawl it's a white background

Did you try saving it as a .PNG?

There's also the lasso tool.  You can also use that to remove the areas that you don't want.

PNG files are the ones that support transparency, also brawl has a colored background with the color you chose as your char, or grey if a CPU if playing that char

Personally, I would use photoshop and make a new file with the same dimensions with the background having transparency(checkered backgorund).

Then it's a matter of copying what you want, pasting and lining it up.
Save it as a .png and make sure it's interlaced. That's how I got transparency working perfectly and ended up with CSPs like this:

For some additional examples, here are some of my CSP images, which have semi-transparent colors.
