So I'm really starting to think I want to replace Metaknight with Grey Fox, however this seems to be a conundrum.   :srs:

On one hand Grey Fox is just straight up badace!  :rage:
And I'm a huge fan of the MGS series.

On the other hand I think Metaknight is the coolest character from the Kirby universe and he's just all around pretty awesome.  :af:

Therefore I find myself stuck.  :>.>palm:

What have you all done?  Anyone replaced him?  And if so how did you feel afterwards?
And yes I realize there are much more important things in life, however this is important to me....at the moment...  :>.>:

MK was so overpowered, so I replaced him and don't miss him.

If you care, with the right codes, you can port Gray Fox over someone else.

Essentially, I banned him from my game. XD

Haha nice!  He definitely is OP.  I think I'll go ahead and replace him, as I'll still have Kirby and D3 from that universe.  Besides I've always felt Snake needs a nemesis to battle in Brawl!  :af2:

I personally prefer Metaknight. It feels more polished than the Gray Fox PSA (but that is to be expected), and I think that he has a generally funner playstyle. But that is just my opinion. Try it out first then you decide.

You can mod the files of Classic and All-Star to change the stage you play him on. -_-

Any tutorial or at least info about changing Classic and All-Star modes? I'd like to do that stuff.

You can change the character order in All-Star mode.

How about just port MK on Lucas/Olimar and Gray over MK? (Since Eternal has everything prepared for over MK)

Dunno, I find Gray Fox glitchy, and it appears to glitch a lot. Maybe it's just me. If you have the same problem stay with MK...

Umm....... I fixed the bugs with Gray Fox already and fixing the hurtboxes fixed things like Polygon streteching when he climbs a ladder, gets C4'd, Homing attacked, etc.

If there's something I may have missed, post in mah thread.

I dunno, I know Gray Fox is NTSC only but I didn't see any problems on him on the PAL disc, despite the whole "soundless" ordeal.

I have no glitches with Gray Fox.

In a CPU vs CPU, he can even beat Meta Knight. :O

EternalYoshi did an awesome job with Gray Fox, he actually did so well he made the CPU AI in Gray Fox the most awesome one in all of Brawl. So what I'm saying is: In a CPU vs CPU battle Gray Fox always wins and its also so awesome that I can't even remember what Metaknight was like.

Get Gray Fox, Kirby has KD3 :P

I can't even play Brawl anymore, or any other Wii games. My Wii dosn't read discs anymore.
It's been like this for about 2 weeks, thought I should tell you. The game froze while I was playing Wii tennis and then I tried to put the disc back in and it said error.

I bought a disc cleaner and tried to fix it but no. It's a technical issue...

Because Eternal prepared a full package port for GF over MK. He has GF's BPs over MK's BPs, GF's result screen portrait over MK's.`

It's called: "Port it over someone useless like Diddy Kong or Olimar"

I'm sure if you ask ome of the porters, they'll be more than welcome to do so.  :kdance:

Olimar is difficult to replace due to the presence of the Pikmin.

Look at it this way. Gray Fox vs. Metaknight = Metal Gear Solid vs. Kirby Franchise

Of course, Metal Gear Solid wins.
In that case, Gray Fox wins.

Well if they were able to port Cloud over Olimar successfully, then I don't see any reason why Grey Fox can't be the same.

There should be a texture hack for Gray Fox, that just makes him covered in his victim's blood, much like the cutscene.

Gray Fox is like a stronger Meta Knight but with a projectile and a faster moveset.
His knockback is around the same as Yoshi's. I think he can walljump and crawl now.

It's safe to say Gray Fox is better than Meta Knight.

I don't know the details but I believe you can port a custom character over "nobody."
Let's say you port Gray Fox over Meta Knight. Well, with the Clone Engine, you can use Gray Fox AND Meta Knight.

PAL, don't know, don't care. I got that one that starts with an N so it doesn't bother me if we're PALS or not.

Well now that's not fair I've always been a huge Grey Fox fan!  I just think all the original Brawl cast were well done, however the work that was put into Grey Fox rivals even that of the originals I'd say and in my case trumps haha!  :happy:

Gray Fox should have Stealth as one of his taunts. Much like the custom Snake Taunts that Eternal Yoshi made.

If anybody, why not port him over ike since, with the help of the clone engine, he can go over anybody after that? hell, why not port everybody over ike just so you have the freedom of porting everybody over anyone else? lol its a paradox

Haven't tried porting him over Ike, but won't the Down B malfunction and not if I do that?
The other specials are easy to port, but the down special would have to be changed.

Also he would need Jab codes on account of Gray Fox and MK not having Jab1, Jab2, or Jab3.

I personally like him exactly the way he is! =3

Besides, Metaknight can port over some characters currently can't he?

Down B for Ike is hardcoded just like Snake's neutral B move.
Not as hardcoded, but still very hardcoded.

You should download Gray Fox over Mk just for now and see who you enjoy better.

I enjoy MK better, but at the same time I like Grey Fox, so I just wanna port him over someone I don't care about! I tried over Luigi, and that failed miserably.

Do it over G&W, no one gives a [censored] about him anyway.

Gray Fox's Default texture:

I like my texture because it gives Gray Fox a more "MGS" look. The textures were ripped from Twin Snakes. So my texture is identical to the way the Ninja looked in Twin Snakes.
