Title: Can't Get CSPs to load! Please help! Post by: silveruchiha on June 09, 2011, 02:53:05 PM Hey there. I've been hacking my game like crazy with all sorts of new stages and costumes. While I know which replacements are on which costumes and stages, I don't have them all memorized and I don't expect friends playing to do so either. So I'd love to get my CSPs working and eventually get some SSPs working as well. I've already tried my hand at getting these things to work... here is what's happened so far:
Attempt 1: I look up video tutorials online and the one I used was http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=keeU5Dwuikw (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=keeU5Dwuikw). I followed the instructions perfectly for a couple of Sonic costumes and a couple of Marth costumes. When I tested them out in game, they didn't show up on the CSS. They did, however, show up on the results screen after a match but they were blurred, segmented... they didn't look like they were supposed to (to sum it up). I figured I would try again. Attempt 2: through some googling, I found a discussion by Hakumen about CUPASH and he had a different version that apparently worked better (I didn't know if that's what I had to begin with or not). So I downloaded and tried again. Same results. :( Attempt 3: On the http://brawlhacks.wikia.com/wiki/The_Giant_Page_of_FAQ (http://brawlhacks.wikia.com/wiki/The_Giant_Page_of_FAQ) page (at the part where it talks about changing brawl portraits), it had some instructions on how to do it with Brawlbox (which I had already installed). So I tried this method and it failed again with no change from the previous results. Could someone please explain what I am doing wrong or if there is something I'm not being told here? and, to change the csp's, you have to edit the sc_selcharacter.pac in the common5.pac :P and place the common5 file in Pf>system or you can extract the sc_selcharacter.pac and put it in PF>menu2 Title: Re: Can't Get CSPs to load! If Gecko then you only need the sc_selcharacter.pac, however if you're using Riivo you need the common5.pac.
