Title: Porting Characters (Dolphin Emulator)
Post by: marya_avonlea on June 12, 2011, 10:30:11 PM
I am a complete Newbie to this and would really like to know how to port a character to a different port. You see, there is a hack I'd like to use that replaces Peach with Daisy, with movesets and everything, but I actually want to keep Peach. I've (using certain programs that can edit the game on the computer) attempted to port her (the other character, Daisy) to Lucas, but it doesn't work. I've replaced all the files in the right directories, renamed things...still, it won't work. Any ideas? I use a Windows 7 computer and the latest Dolphin Emulator.

Thanks in advance people!

Porting is not as simple as just renaming files.

Peach currently isn't portable yet (at least, not to the general public).

clones r impossible to use on the dolphin emulater because u can not use gct codes. how ever u can do a normal port like the shadow kong one but it would take a lot of work

Ah, good to know. Thanks! :) I have used that one (Shadow Kong) and it worked well, and I've attempted to replace Ike with Rosalina (which actually does work pretty well, except the umbrella attacks which would be the side smashes included). I didn't know that about the clones, I'll have to read up on that! :) But it's a real shame for me, I was really hoping to make it work. :P
