Title: 3Ds Max help Post by: Muigi on September 17, 2009, 10:21:38 AM Thanks to the tutorials, I finally got the applying textures thing figured out...
(http://img245.imageshack.us/img245/5354/30855852.png) ...partially. What textures are supposed to be placed here? I've tried most of the textures I used already, but it doesn't look like any of them worked, so I tried the ones I haven't used yet. Same difference, though his eyeball becomes black when I tried the normal and final smash eyes. For the top of the head, maybe just try applying his face texture there. Title: Re: 3Ds Max help Post by: Muigi on September 17, 2009, 01:11:25 PM For his eyes, it'd be the eye white file. I can't use the face texture, as that has his hat and glove textures as well. >< Top of head: (http://img233.imageshack.us/img233/9066/82678209.png) Eyeball: (http://img17.imageshack.us/img17/2384/82310310.png) Title: Re: 3Ds Max help Post by: Ice God64 on September 17, 2009, 01:19:36 PM What textures are supposed to be placed here? In fact, I have no idea what it's use is.As for his eyes, the UV Mapping(The thing that tells the model how the texture is supposed to work) Doesn't display correctly. I have no idea how it's supposed to work either; I have tried changing it before. Title: Re: 3Ds Max help Post by: catgowoof on September 17, 2009, 01:20:50 PM Does it matter that much?? With the eyeball, it's pretty easy to know what you've changed and how it's gonna look, and with the forehead, you can tell what, you're doing there. You can always test in game for those parts as well.
Sorry I couldn't be any more helpful though. Title: Re: 3Ds Max help Post by: Ice God64 on September 17, 2009, 01:27:46 PM Does it matter that much?? What you say is true, it just means not pretty test renders, or poses for custom CSP's.That's okay, it's a pain to set up CSP's in 3dsmax anyway, and there's a lot of guesswork. |
