Title: Great. Now my Wii stopped working Post by: Stitch on June 17, 2011, 10:39:14 AM Whenever I switch on the Wii, the display wouldn't show up and there would be no sound. I tried everything with the outlets, but it just won't work. Anybody know what's happening? And how to fix it?

1. When was the last time it was working? 2. What did you do to the Wii during that time? 3. Did anything happen to the Wii after that time? Title: Re: Great. Now my Wii stopped working Post by: Juri Han on June 17, 2011, 11:06:41 AM Nothing's showing up at all when you try to switch it on? Did you do anything that may have caused it to become bricked? (for example, downgrading your Wii.)
If you want, take a look at this just in case :/ http://wiibrew.org/wiki/Brick Title: Re: Great. Now my Wii stopped working Post by: TruePhilosopher on June 17, 2011, 01:23:23 PM If it's a low-level brick then there's almost no way to recover it. :(
I read up on all that before I hacked my Wii and it almost scared me away! :o Almost.... ;D Title: Re: Great. Now my Wii stopped working Post by: Stitch on June 17, 2011, 05:14:43 PM We need a little more info. It stopped a couple days ago, about half a week.1. When was the last time it was working? 2. What did you do to the Wii during that time? Same usual running the HBC and Gecko w/ file patch code3. Did anything happen to the Wii after that time? As mentioned, it wouldn't display anything. It was as if the wii wasn't even turned on,except the power button was green.Title: Re: Great. Now my Wii stopped working Post by: DTST on June 17, 2011, 05:16:18 PM Brick

There are varying types, and one of them shows nothing but a black screen. Quote 2. The Wii displays nothing and you are presented with a black screen. Because of this it's impossible to fix using software, UNLESS you have BootMii installed (as boot2), or you use a Savemii Dongle with an autoboot disc. In some cases the latter will be unable to fix this brick. A broken Bluetooth Module will present the same symptoms, but can only be fixed by replacing the module. Title: Re: Great. Now my Wii stopped working Post by: ??_? on June 17, 2011, 07:13:24 PM Brick comments like that REALLY don't help. For all we know it could be the RCA cable, which is certainly what it sounds like. Don't jump to such rash conclusions such as it being bricked. Especially when:I actually don't know alot about brickage but I say it is bricked Thats really unhelpful, and kind of obnoxious. There really isn't any reason why we should assume that its bricked, he didn't mention any modifications he made that would cause anything of the sort. Was your TV on? lol i don't know what to say anymore :( then don't say anything.@OP: If your friend has a wii, try switching RCA cables (the red, yellow, and white one) with him. It could also be your television's RCA sockets, that happened to me. If your TV has another set, try them. @Staff, move to help. Title: Re: Great.
