Title: Project M CSS
Post by: Gamma Ridley on June 22, 2011, 01:29:31 AM
Okay.

So you know how the Project M demo is designed to have a character selection screen that displays only the characters they have modified?

Well, how would you revert it back to normal?

I assume that it has something to do with the GCT, so would I have to delete certain things out of it?

All I want to do is to change it so that it shows all the characters. Including the separate Pokemon, Sheik/Zelda, and Samus/ZSS.

Any help would be appreciated.

I would assume they wrote a custom Css code that omitted the selections you mentioned.  You'll have to either edit it or replace it if you want the characters to pop up.

That's what I figured.

Unfortunately, looking for through the GCT, I see that there is a code altering the CSS in the TXT, but I can't seem to find it in the GCT. /:

Yeah honestly I have the same problem.  Finding the codes in the .gct is a pain in the butt.

It is.

Anyway, I may have found a solution by simply rebuilding the GCT using all the codes contained within it except the Custom CSS code.

Let's see if that works.

It won't work.
If you play with other non-P:M characters the game just freezes.

Me and my brother tried it before.

I think there's a code in there that makes restrictions to only those P:M characters, or it's just the regular characters can't operate right in P:M.

Did you try editing the GCT?

Or did you just try to use the GCT the demo came with?

I took the GCT from the demo, took the CSS code out, but it freezes. :<

Um, I may have just wasted an hour doing that, then. /:

*sigh* This is gonna be tougher than I thought...

So how does the Project: M coding have restrictive coding in it?  That's a bit of a pain.   :notimp:

Also I'm sure you could have the layout without the gameplay changes if that's what you want.  I'd say the restrictive coding is in there.

I think the coding might be contained in here.

Careful, it's a long one:

Wow so that's the coding for Project: M huh?  I'm not sure where to look in here as I'd have to know what they were going for. :\   I'd assume it would have something to do with the character Id's tho.

Edit:  Maybe it has something to do with this part.

So would I just delete that?

I dont even know where that is in the code...

By the way, thats only the "Unknown Codes" part.

Well there are nine Project: M characters right?  I think that's what's forcing you to use them, though erasing just that part may have disastrous results.  :o

Here's where I found it (highlighted in green):

... so what would I do with that? D:

I just want to have a normal CSS. That's all. XD
