If you can't do this for some reason then you need to have the gecko app in your apps folder. If it's in the right place it should show up when you go to the homebrew channel.

Title: Re: How do I get gecko to start on homebrew Post by: 2asd5 on June 23, 2011, 10:16:57 AM ...well I'm just going to give as much information as I can, just to be specific. I have the homebrew channel set up already, I have the gecko os files into what I think is the right spot(on a folder called "app" on the root of my sd card). I have looked at homebrew options on the homebrew channel and still can't find anything about gecko. So from here I have two questions: Is the gecko folder in the right spot, and am I looking in the right place to start gecko.

The folder should be called "apps" WITH an S so in in the root of your sd card, you'll have a folder called apps. in that folder, you'll have a folder called "geckoos" or something like that, and in that folder you'll have 3 files, "boot.elf" "icon.png" and "meta.xml" What you probably did was extract it so there is another folder within your geckoOS folder, remove it so there is only X:/apps/geckoOS/(Contents) |
