Title: Kirbys second eye problem Post by: DrPanda on June 27, 2011, 06:18:31 PM Alright, this is gonna be a little hard to explain...
For my Ms.Mowz hack I made the inner ears from one pair of Kirbys FSeyes, Problem is they show up completely white in-game. The other Eyes show up just fine, but these ones don't. Does anybody know a fix, or has any theories on how to fix this? :-\ Thank you. Title: Re: Kirbys second eye problem Post by: Roo on June 27, 2011, 06:21:01 PM Simple my friend. You made them from the final-smash eyes, whose properties tell them not to be effected by shadows, so they will always appear lighter than expected.
There's a way to fix this, but I forget how. Aafyre knows though, ask him. Title: Re: Kirbys second eye problem Post by: DrPanda on June 28, 2011, 07:38:34 AM I thought as much :)
Do you know of anybody else who knows how to do it? (I haven't seen Aafyre around lately as all) Title: Re: Kirbys second eye problem Post by: Puraidou on June 28, 2011, 07:47:57 AM I thought as much :) I see Aafyre on msn often, i could redirect him this way if you want.Do you know of anybody else who knows how to do it? They would be under FitKirby00.pac-->FitKirby00.mdl0-->Materials 1 OR if you want, i can take a look for you. I think all i need to do is find out the value for a normal material, because now, the material for FS Eyes is Reflective, which very well may be your problem. Lemme know though. If you wouldn't mind, that would be a great help ;DMess with the materials. Also, My SD reader is broken, so I can't test out any changes at the moment. Basically, take his normal eye texture, select only the eye, and delete the rest. The deleted parts will become transparent as a result.
Refer to my texture hacks for Kirby - especially the Plusle, Minun, and Slime textures - for some examples. Title: Re: Kirbys second eye problem Post by: DrPanda on June 29, 2011, 05:52:06 PM Ok, I aksed Aafyre about this and he sais that he didn't actually know :o
So I'm just gonna bump this up, so that if anybody else who might know can see it :) @Mnsg Err.... I think you missed what I was trying to achieve :-\ |
