Post by: Lightstorm on July 01, 2011, 04:06:29 PM
How do you change the running speed in Brawlbox? I'm wanting to increase the speed of Sonic :D

you have to do that in smash attacks I believe :P

you have to do that in smash attacks

This is correct. It is currently impossible to change running speed through Brawl box.

This is what to change in PSA.

It is the Run Initial Velocity, are you trying to make him as fast as Big Blue? :af2:

Well  haven't exactly figured it out yet, but something tells me it has something to do with the animations of him tripping or the running animation. If I find out I'll defintely let you know!

No, there are speed limits for different characters. Like wolf's is 5. Ike's is 2.5
Try low numbers until your desired number.

OH! Thanks SmashClash! The thing you need to change is the 088 attribute right?

Sonic's movement speed is also affected by how far his TransN goes in his animation.  By default it goes about 37 Z scalar forward after 17 frames.  Increase this to a higher number (say, 50) and he'll go faster.

Ah! I see thank you! :af2: Sonic has now gained "Clear Mind"!

I was supposed to change this in the animation flags right?

Which one ae you talking about? The 37 z scalar, or the Run speed limit, which is in the attributes section in PSA?

Go into PSA, open the Sonic PAC, on the top there should be a tab that say attributes (which I'm sure you already know). Change the Dash & stop initial to 5 or any high number, then change the Run initial velocity to 14, or higher. Scroll down to 0x088, it should have a 2.5, change this to 0.5. Then you're FINISHED!

If you want to make him faster, then go to BrawlBox and open the FitSonicMotion.pac. Scroll down to his Run animation, look for the TransN bone on the list to the left. Once you find it, look at your lower right and change the scale Z for that bone to 50! FINSHED!  ;D

Look at Sonic's Run animation in Brawlbox in his FitSonicMotionEtc.pac

yea, we did that, it didn't change sonic's speed, it just stretched him....
I tried both the transition z and the scale z, niether of them change the speed.
