Title: Bone editing to change height?
Post by: Weyard on July 05, 2011, 07:28:24 PM
I know this has been done for many hacks, but I never really understood how it was done.

I need to make Pico (captain falcon) a little big shorter without messing with his width, so changing his size via psa won't work.

I was thinking that bone editing might work, however I can't find any guides on changing one's height by messing with their bones.

Could someone please explain the process to me in some detail or direct me to a guide? Thanks.

Easy friend. Just rename TopN to TopNull, then change the size of the Scale bones. Make sure this is all done outside of the Preview though.

The format under scale is 1.1.1 , to make him around 20% shorter what would I change it to?

After altering the scale, I change it back to TopN or does it remain as topnull?

Keep it as TopNull. That way it remains a one-slot size mod.

And change the Y Scale to about .8 and see what happens. You might just have to toy around with it to get it right.

I messed around with it and figured it about 30 minutes ago. I used 0.75 and it looks about right.

Now to test it.

Thanks.
