Title: Vertec hacking export mess up
Post by: Pervyman Trigger on July 11, 2011, 02:49:41 PM
so i do EVERYTHING! acording to the toutorial and when ever I export it, it becomes randomly sized :srs: SOme parts are HUGE and some are small, some are small some are short, but only on the parts I touch, like the legs are doing it, but the chest isn't and it's part of the same polygon, but I didn't vertex the chest. Any idea?

What method are you using?
If your using MarioKart 64N's or DasDonkey Vertex Box 2.0,a vertex edit usually does that the 1st time you export. Double patching should fix it.
If your using the original method, no clue.

I tried double patching, even triple, it just gets worse and worse

Well some characters have a much longer time patching. I remember someone saying their vertex took over 100 patches...

o-o, who was that over? and does the fact that I took the hips and made them as long as the legs and made the arm twice the size happen to affect it o-o?

Okay this is happening EVERYTIME, to ANYONE I've tried. The more I patch, the more F*cked up it gets. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong. I'd get pictures but I had no idea how to take a screenshot.

Printscreen key on your keyboard takes a screenshot. Then open up Paint, paste it in, save it, and upload it online.

If you did a great deal of work in one sitting, it can take forever to patch it out correctly. Sometimes it's better to just do a little vertexing at a time, then export it back out and do it again, continuing. Maybe this is what you're experiencing.

EH, I only do one polygon at a time, but I guess I do ALOT to that one polygon as I vertex the WHOLE body out of that one :af: I'll try it. Although it's going to be a pain to do it all again :oshi:
