Hi have a major issue with riivolution, once I was playing a match and as soon as it started it froze for no reason and once I was at the sss and when I was about to pick the stage, it froze for no reason again. Damm It!!! I wish Riivolution was more stable  :oshi:

It is stable...

You either:

A) Have a corrupt file somewhere.

B) Are missing a vital code.

C) Have a corrupt save file.

D) All of the above.

You need to narrow down your problem...

A) Nope my file cant be corrupt.

B) what the hell is a vital code.

C) same as a.

D) nope.

A) How are you so sure? If you have a lot of files this is easy to do.

B) Don't curse at people who are helping you, it's rude.  Also you always have to use codes of some sort with Brawl hacking be it via .xml or .gct.

C) Again you're sure how?

D) With the knowledge you've shown I wouldn't be surprised if D really is the case.  r)

At any rate you may also need to format your sd card (backing everything up beforehand of course,) but I'm fairly certain your problem will lie in the realm of things I've already listed.  As I mentioned before it's up to you to find the discrepancy as you're the one who put the files together...we can only guide.

when I was playing mewtwo and I was about to hit wario  it froze. How in the world does that happen, that is the weirdist thng that ever to me while playing brawl.  :srs: Your right maybe I need to format it but wouldnt it delete everything?

Back-up everything on your computer first, then format it.

Wait I already formated it, and it still freezes. Sorry I forgot I did it already. If my save file is corrupt the game wouldnt work at all. I think Im going to switch back to Gecko Os. Gecko Os never gave me any problems. It never froze as much as riivolution did. But then I wont be able to do sfx hacks, pity :oshi:

if its your save files, it would freeze at certain points, even when playing brawl without hacks through the disc channel :P

and by the way, just format your sdcard again...>.<

well it removes everything from your sdcard and make it be as if it was new I guess, so maybe if your sdcard is somewhat broken, you can 'repair' it or something, honestly I'm not sure about all this, but yeah, :P

Fine, but I need advice from you, do you use riivolution, and if you do, what would you do if riivolution would freeze on you all the time for no reason.

I would just try everything people say here, thats what I alwayz do :P
so, just try formatting your sdcard, that just takes about 1 minute or something >.<

and if it didn't work, I checked my savefile, just play regular brawl and see if it freezes, when it does, delete your save file and download a new one.

if that doesn't work, I just check my files, just by removing my hacks, and then just putting them on my sdcard by category, so first character textures, if it doesn't freeze, then for example, music hacks, doesn't freeze? stage hacks, etc...

so yeah thats what I should do, well kinda :P

Guess what happened I just was going to pick a stage beep!!!!! The loudest beep I ever heard, what was the reason for the fricking freezing. Look Im telling you all my hacks are glitch free!!!!!!! and I dont have a corrupted save file cause I can play perfectly fine in disc channel :>.>:

well there you have it, it might be one of your texture's or stage hacks :P or if you didn't chose it and it froze before being able to select it, then it might be some bad texture replacement on the Stage selection screen

But, I dont know what character texture or stage is causing the problem :(
I dont think ASFINKS'S SSS Texture have problems but whatever :notimp:

well... if it was a stage, it would freeze only on that stage... if it was a character, every stage would freeze because of that character

I had to switch textures hacks over and over again it still freezes, I think Im going to use usb loader. Its probaly less freezable and it can do sfx hacks.

well using a usbloader is the exact same as just using gecko bacause you can use the file patch code method, and yes, you can edit the ISO, but still :P

It seems that my brawl file might be corrupt and thats why it freezes randomly. just get another save file:P  at least, if it freezes when playing without hacks

It dosent freeze without hacks, but I still think its corrupt, what else could be causing the freezing :notimp:

if it doesn't freeze without hacks, your save files isn't corrupt it are the hacks you're using :P
