Title: Model formats... really desperate here!
Post by: SangPutride on July 27, 2011, 10:18:02 AM
Hey folks,

if been lurking here for a while now. Straight to my question:

I'd like to have the brawl models (also the edited ones from this site) in a format so that I can open them in milkshape/blender.

I got BrawlBox and I'm able to export the models. The file format on the texture is not a problem.

Is there a way to convert the exported mdl0 files into a more usable format?
Or is .mdl0 not a "real" model but more of a collection of different (small) models that need to be interpreted by brawl itself that I need to arrange the correct way myself?

I'd like to have something like this (http://learngamedesign.com/graphics/gdtA5_1.gif)

Sorry if this is a noob question. I would appreciate it, if u could point me in the right direction.

Cheers.

Export the .brres containing the .mdl0. You can use BRESS Viewer 1.3 to export the .mdl0 into an .obj, or alternatively you can use A.I.S. to convert the .mdlo into .dae.

Thanks for the fast reply. I only find 1.2 via google and 1.2 can't export .obj files. Anyone be so kind to upload it?

//edit: Upload 1.3 I mean.
