I updated to Wii menu 4.2 (STUPID STUPID), now the Homebrew channel is gone and I can't get it back.
What do I do?

Well, after an incident that happened to me when I updated to 4.0, I've been taking extra precautions when having Homebrew on my Wii.
Why, oh why did you update? Nintendo even said there wouldn't be gameplay changes. But whatever, I've heard that you can reinstall HBC with something called "Indiana Pwns." I don't know much about it, though.

I tried this Smash Stack thing, i actually experimented with it before it was released. I managed to get a corrupt wad to install :P.
It says I don't have a boot.elf, do I need a particular one?

Trust me, don't update just for the sake of updating. The update not only gets a rid of the Homebrew Channel (which can easily be brought back with Smash Stack) but it also stops other hacks from working. (such as the Preloader, BootMii Boot2 version, the Trucha bug, and I think even DivX). Just don't update, stick with what you have until an updater comes out that doesn't install the anti-hack stuff from Nintendo and just updates the performance changes.
