Title: Adding More Stages/smashbros_sound.brsar not picking up
Post by: KeiroStarr on September 01, 2011, 10:47:21 AM
My question here is actually 2 and I could use some help with it.

I came across some nifty codes for SSBB that add empty stages. I was wondering how you put a custom stage on those? Do I just rename the stages or do rels come into play here? Also, how do you add music to said stages?

I modified smashbros_sound.brsar to have Tails' sound pack and the female announcer pack, but when I load up the game, nothing changes. Does it not work with the File Patch Code or am I doing something wrong, because I checked the file hierarchy and the BRSAR is in the exact same place it appears in the game DVD.

Any help would be well appreciated.

for ur first question, it's pretty simple, stages with final destination as a base work on them. u can use others if u use rel's ported to FD. then u rename  the stages in hex (0-8,9,A-F) so for the first stage reading left to right its named *STGCUSTOM01* with a rel named *st_custom01* all the way to 09 then its 0A, 0B, 0C to 0F then its 10 and repeats. just make sure there named right anf they should work. for ur next question sound hacks ONLY work with a usb loader or riivolution. it won't work with gecko or the file patch code. same with THP hacks.

 hope that helps
