Title: vertexing tips/help needed Post by: nanobuds on September 13, 2011, 09:23:06 PM have a few questions:
1. how would one go to make something more round? im having trouble making stuff more round or smooth. 2. how exactly do you export or patch from 3DS Max? i seem to be having trouble with it. thanks!! Title: Re: vertexing tips/help needed Post by: Iwvi on September 13, 2011, 09:43:42 PM There was a tutorial on how to spherify things, look for it. But still maybe its just a matter of practice. And about exporting, exporting with wich method? I know mariokart's method.
-You make a copy of what you vertexed. -Disable the lightbulb (edit mesh or something) on the polygon you want to export -Import the vertexset of that polygon, and copy the MDL0 offset -In morpher (on that polygon you disabled the lightbulb) There you select where it says -empty-, and pick from scene, then just click on the copy you made of the edited polygon. -On the other empty, select again pick from scene, press H, then a list of all posible objects appear, select the vertexset. -Up the value on the right to 100 -On the script windowuncheck where it says "Read offset from file" and paste the offset of the vertexset there. Then just export verts and choose the MDL0 you want to apply the changes to. Im not sure if this is what you needed or asked for, but is what I know, there is a Tutorial for MK64n method in the tutorial section, It´s really useful and has images and tutorialistic stuff. Hope I helped, if otherwise just ignore this post Title: Re: vertexing tips/help needed Post by: GentlemanPotato on September 14, 2011, 05:46:55 AM 1. Spherify things (http://forums.kc-mm.com/index.php?topic=26357.0). This only works with DasDonkeyBox, not MK64n's method.
2. Tutorial for MK64n's method (http://forums.kc-mm.com/index.php?topic=13061.msg209472#msg209472). Tutorial for DasDonkeyBox (http://forums.kc-mm.com/index.php?topic=12815.0). Title: Re: vertexing tips/help needed Post by: nanobuds on September 14, 2011, 05:47:47 AM i tried making the copy, but it wouldnt morph into the original model. should i just import the original?
Title: Re: vertexing tips/help needed Post by: Iwvi on September 14, 2011, 05:12:18 PM What do you mean it does not morph?, if you cannot select it in the morpher then you deleted, or added a vertex
Title: Re: vertexing tips/help needed Post by: nanobuds on September 14, 2011, 05:15:16 PM What do you mean it does not morph?, if you cannot select it in the morpher then you deleted, or added a vertex like i create the clone, but i cant seem to get the polygons to turn into the original model... im pretty sure i didnt delete or add any verts Title: Re: vertexing tips/help needed Post by: Iwvi on September 14, 2011, 07:32:26 PM Im not sure what you mean, check the linked tutorial, and then tell us in which part are you having problems.
