I'm new to editing vertices, but I have everything I need to at least make one hack. I've been following the steps to get started and everything seems fine, but when to comes to creating a .dae file with ais is giving me a problem. Its because I cant get ais to run on my computer, everytime I try to install ais it fails everytime. If someone can tell me another way to convert the brres or mdl0 formats to dae with or without ais that would be awesome. And I only have 11 days on the 3ds max trial so please help me out. :-[

u could use blackjacks brawlbox. it can export directly to collada dae files.

They don't work if you export them with BlackJax's BrawlBox.

If you've installed AiS successfully, you can right click the BRRES, with the model in it after it gets exported, of course, and get the model converted to a working DAE to use in 3DS Max.

i thought it was mdl0 files that have issues exporting? hmm i'll need to mess with it tomorrow now i'm curious xD i know exports as mdl0 don't work for his brawlbox

I was thinking that I didnt have something, but then again dasdonkey box and brawlbox works fine on my computer. Do you think it maybe my operating system that is not letting AiS to work I have windows 7? And to Sirkura I tryed that already and it didnt read correcty in 3ds max, but I appreciate your suggestion also for trying to help me out. ;)

try running the AiS install as administrator, it gets some things to work, just remembered that.

If you run the batch file installed, it'll move all the files that came in the download to a folder in your "Program Files"
You right click the BRRES containing the model and run it through AIS.

When you say batch file do you mean ais0.1.1.exe? I'm not sure what you mean by "batch file", but if you do mean ais0.1.1.exe then my issue is that I cant get it to install. Everytime I try to run it a window pops up telling me that ais has stopped working. And to Iwvi, I tryed running it as administrator and it didnt work... Thanks for trying to help though. I think I'll have to get another download for ais, would you guys happen to know another place where I can download ais? The one I'm trying to use came with the Dasdonkey box 2.1 or 2.2 download.

i had this kind of problem,
try puttin your BRRES in the D drive instead of the C drive,

and try creating your DAE

The D drive on my computer is for dvds and I dont have any dvds to store the brres file on. But I do have flash drives if that can work? To be honest, you kind of lost me... If I were to do that how would that get AiS to install? In order for me to convert brres to dae I would have to get AiS to install right? Unless you are giving me another way to convert it, because right now I'm not sure where you are going with that...

And to KTH I do have a computer that is running on windows XP but I tryed doing all that on there already. So AiS didnt work on that one.

I think I just need another download for AiS. The one I have might be bad.

Ok guys now I only have four days left on my 3ds max trial and I still want to try and make a character, and all I think I need is a working download for AiS. I found the thread by Pharrox when he or she was giving out AiS. I thought I was good until I saw that the download for AiS was shut down. I cant figure out any other place to get AiS so.... help me out... please...

Have you tried just running AIS without installing, putting it into the same folder with the BRRES and clicking in AIS?

Guys! I got it to work! I found another download for AiS and that one had everything I need for it to work! Thanks everybody! Hope I can make something.
