Title: Problem with .rels Post by: Filippo94 on September 27, 2011, 08:21:51 AM Hi, sorry if i'm in the wrong section...
I have a problem: Every stage that comes with .rel doesn't work. Even if i use an original .rel in other stages, it doesn't work. I use RiiVolution, and I made an "all" modlauncher, with "brawlmods" recursive on "Disk:\". With the last they didn't work, with this they don't work, and I don't know other reason about why they don't work. The stages are made of .pac and .rel, right? There isn't any other file about the stages, am I wrong? Can you help me :(? Title: Re: Problem with .rels Post by: Foxxy on September 27, 2011, 02:37:36 PM Use the BeyondYou Riivolution build, it requires you to place the files the same way as if you were using Gecko, so it's easier. It'll be a pain to move everything into that format the first time, but then after that it's smooth sailing ^_^
http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php?Number=16990 (http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php?Number=16990) Use that. The .rels go in the pf/module folder, and the .pacs go in the pf/stage/melee folder. Do you know how to set up files in Gecko's order? (In other words, have you used GeckoOS before? If not, I'll probably need to explain to you how to do it all correctly) Title: Re: Problem with .rels Post by: 8o8 Dark on September 27, 2011, 09:48:26 PM Actaully, if they are put in the correct directory and dont work, it isnt the .xml. It's probably that your Wii can't use the .rels properly. Try the actual Gecko OS. It's like this for me, so I use Gecko OS for .rels
Title: Re: Problem with .rels Post by: Foxxy on September 28, 2011, 12:11:08 AM But what could cause the Wii to read .rels wrong? I've used both a Wii that came out when Wii's first came out, as well as a black Wii that was released like a year ago, and both can work with .rels...
Title: Re: Problem with .rels Post by: Filippo94 on September 28, 2011, 03:26:13 PM My Xml works like a Gecko OS (I think).
My Wii has some problems, sometimes it crashes (like using Homebrew browser or NGC isos), and i should re-install all the ios-cios-mios and so... But i don't know where to start. Something is corrupted, and Pimp my Wii, that i used the last time to fix my Wii now crashes, and i don't know what i have to do... And I think that this problem can make some trouble even here. Do you know where i can rebuild a new NAND? XD Title: Re: Problem with .rels Post by: Foxxy on September 28, 2011, 03:28:20 PM Well, in MY opinion, your best bet would be to just reset that Wii, format system memory, trade it in, buy a new Wii, and StackSmash it.
But that's not the cheapest way... However it IS the easiest. Title: Re: Problem with .rels Post by: Filippo94 on October 16, 2011, 08:09:15 AM I've got a USA version and after some problems I finally can play all mods!! :D
Now I have an other problem: Can I port a stage from one slot to another? If I Pick a .pac and .rel (from the original ISO or an included one) i can't simply re-name the files for using them in an other slot... How can I make them work on different slots? Or the problem is that not all disc files are replaced with the SD one? How can I totally replace the pf folder to the DVD? Edit: Solved, with this guide: http://ssbbcustom.wikia.com/wiki/Module_files :af2: |
