I've edited the title screen, named it sc_title.pac and put it in menu2, but nothing's changed in Brawl. Is it even usable with the SD loader?
No because the SD Loader thing doesnt read the file... Im not sure though. Either way, the SD loader cant read it... Only ISO can read it the title screen...
Nope. Doesn't work. I tried changing the title screen to "Super Smash Bros. Lawl" and it didn't change.

Aww...
Send me the file, and I'll burn an .iso and take a snap of it with my USB Gecko. I have a feeling you edited the wrong file, by the way.

Nope, it's definitely SC_title.pac
The SD loader can load stuff from menu2 alright. You can use the SD loader to replace the file that names the music titles in the my music menu. Dantarion on smashboards made a youtube vid naming the path you need to use since appearantly the file patch code doesn't do it the way the game does.
I'd link to the video or even smashboards but my school computer currently allows me to do niether and proxys all suck.
I thought everything to do with the menu was in the common5.pac?
Well IIRC i saw menu tgas in the common5.

No. Music titles dantarions replaces are in Info2. As for as I know, some, or most things in Menu, are not SD loadable, and with Menu2 not SD loadable at all.

The vid I was talking about. Also, he said this on smashboards not too long after he posted the vid.
QuoteSo you guys, you can modify all the menu2 files now.
Someone make me a Brawl+ title screen and ill make a vid on youtube.
Or at least someone get me links to the art.

Interesting, but still. We can't load the damn files for some reason. I don't know how he did it, or if he even did it, he probably used the .iso. <_<
Delayed response, but still.
He gives the path that the file patch code uses to replace menu2 stuff in the video description. I haven't tried it yet(lol PC), but according to others, it works for the SD loader.
Shameless bump
But wait.. my sc_selcharacter.pac works in the current path.. The title screen has to use a different one? I'm kind of confused.
/private/wii/app/rsbe/pfmenu2/ mu_menumain.pac
... are you telling me that it's NOT
private/wii/app/rsbe/pf/menu2 ?!
Not the / between pf and menu2. So, I have to make a folder called pfmenu2 in RSBE for this to work?
Alright, WTF?! I just put my title screen in pfmenu2. When I go to the part where it would NORMALLY start the title screen, the screen just went black. When I went down to turn off the Wii, an effin' spark flew out of the Wii like static electricity! WTF?!

Yeah... I still don't understand WHY it doesn't work.
My Theory: I put the .pac in the right place, because at least the game had some sort of reaction to it, but my .pac is corrupt or something. I dunno. The only way to be sure is to .ISO hack it.
So on my 2nd try, I got my simple recolor of the word brawl, and that check line to work. My assumption for why your's didn't work? If you were using smash/brawlbox, you need to save it as a pcs, and then manually rename it as a pac file. Saving it as a pac file even if you don't change a single thing will nearly double the file size. I can't take any pictures of my recolor, but inject your textures again and save it as a pcs. Upload it and I'll try it if you can't.
TL;DR: It's a pac, Luigi. You didn't make it.
